COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pours black with a big creamy caramel coloured head. Aroma of rye (surdej), blackberries, coffee, chocolate and some smokiness. Flavour is nice and balanced with at hint of sweet toffee to balance out the rye and hops and spicey notes in the end. Very nice full palate and a long aftertaste of hops and spices.

Sample from unlabeled bottle @ BBF 2010. Rye bread and smoke in both aroma and flavor. Some tart notes next to the smokiness, that goes on and on in the aftertaste.

Black color, lasting brown head. Sweet, slight bit acidic, smoke scent. Also licorice, some lactic, roasted, smell, fresh. Roasted, acidic, grainy, coffee, lactic taste. Coffee and roasted malt aftertaste. The long dry finish really lingers. Moussy moth feel. Medium high bitterness.

Bottle (batch no.272? can’t read it properly). courtesy of the Amager crew and Papsoe, HUGE thanks!
Pitch black body, darker tan-brown head. Relatively soft sweet creamy coffeish roasty nose, quite pleasant. A balanced sweetish, sorta creamy taste, with light sweet notes bordering on fruity, peachy even. A nice, balanced stout. Quite drinkable. My type of stout :).
