COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s Note: This version was brewed at Amager Bryghus and had its first appearance at Mikkeller’s Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014.
NOT to be confused with the earlier version brewed at Hill Farmstead under the Grassroots label.

Da vi i juni 2013 besøgte New England var det derfor kun naturligt, at vi slog forbi Shauns gårdbryggeri Hill Farmstead – absolut in the middle of nowhere.

Bottle. It’s a lightly hazy one, dark golden-orange in color and with a dense, light beige head on top. Some lacings. Lots of canned tropical fruits in the aroma, with malty sugars and some alcohol in the back. Pine cone notes. Resins, bitterness, tropical fruits and some oranges in the flavor. Biscuits. It’s full-bodied, warming and quite sweet on the palate. Pleasant carbonation level. Lasting sweet, fruity and warming finish. Bet this one was better when all fresh, but I also think it will be nice if cellared longer. 150522

Great dipa from amarger. A lot of tropical fruits on the aroma, with a hint of citrussy peel, and white flowers. The taste is load of apricot, pineapple, a little bit of sweet bready malt, papaya. Bitter and dry finish, so smooth with a wonderful connection of all the flavours. Light to mefium body, this baby rocks

(Batch 881-MA 09-2016) (1409-160415)

Golden pour, good sized head. Tropical fruit salad aroma and taste, pineapple, mango, grapefruit, floral hops. Sweet malt backbone. Medium body. The amager version stands alongside the grassroots version.

Bottle. Burnt orange, medium hazy with medium, white medium densed head. Poor head retention, medicore lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits (mango, pineapple), honey, citrus (grapefruit). Medium bitter with nice hoppy profile - mostly fruity (grapefruit, tropical fruits) with light floral notes. Resionous, piney finish. The malty backbone is sweet, honey, but not overbalance the hoppy profile. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, finish is semi-dry and bitter, quite long. In overall easy going DIPA with enough malty sweetness in contrary to hoppy character. Yet another good DIPA from Amager.
