COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

500 ml bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.0%. Pitch black colour, huge brown head. Strong roasty and dryish aroma, notes of coffee, wood and dark chocolate. The flavour is also distinctly roasty but not extreme, the mouthfeel is fairly soft. Notes of dark chocolate and coffee again. Long dry, roasty, woody and bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. It pours a two-finger, dense, tan head over an almost black body. The aroma has a faint touch of cooked vegetables, but mostly it’s coffee and dark chocolate. Some caramel hints. The flavor is rather intense, with chocolate domiating. Caramel, coffee and some caramel sauce in the flavor. Full body, silky mouthfeel. Lasting roasted and chocolatey finish. Don’t like the vegetable hint, else it’s a really fine one. 130420

MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of chocolate, sweet caramel, mocha, sweet and sugary, cocoa powder. Aftertaste: some citrus, bitter hops, mocha, coffee, cocoa powder, bitter hops, lots of chocolate again. Very nice beer...

Opaque black - brown beer, tidy dark tan head. Smooth palate, dry with fine carbonation. Rich dark malt, roasty and slightly bitter. Bitter coffee. A little barrel aged like sweet paint. Creamy dark malt. Finishes fresh but dry with a bitter coffee aftertaste. Feels very much like an Amager beer and I’m not getting any Hoppin Frog influence here at all!

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours Marshal Zhukov/Dark Lord black with a mid-sized, creamy, taupe head. The aroma is a lavish, malty swirl of milk chocolate, caramel and toasted almonds. Medium to full-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor is a bitter, acrid blast of black chocolate and espresso. Lengthy, burnt, bittersweet finish. Kudos to Plovmand for sending yet another world class beer my way!

Bottle. Pitch black coloured beer with a strong brown head. The aroma is heavily roasted, and the flavour is very well roasted with lots of bitterness and malts. Overall a good strong stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
