COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Alkoholen varmer behageligt i finishen, varmer uden at brænde.

English: Barrel aged for 26 months on a Stranahans Colorado Whiskey barrel.

Pours a pitch black colour with a small head. Aroma is very strong with notes of roasted malts, salty licorice, tire and raisins. Flavour of strong roasted malts, salty licorice, bourbon, salty licorice, raisins and grassy bitterness. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel and a long, warming, tangy finish. Alcohol warms nicely. Good.

37,5 cl bottle @ olio, Batch #197: BBE 2022
Aroma has rubber, boozy notes, berries and some way too much roasted malt. Flavour has burned malt, rubber, some berries, whisky notes, some vanilla and hints of alcohol. Too much rubber with harsh bitterness.

BBE 2022 - Pours dark brown, almost black with tiny head. Aroma of strong leather and roasty notes, hints of oak, wood, alcohol and vanilla. Taste is sweet and roasty with malty notes, hints of oak, wood and alcohol. Finish is boozy and sticky with hints of roastiness, oak and malts. Unbalanced, quite sweet and sticky. The regular version is much better.

Black pour and settles black. Quick fading dark brown head that leaves a thin collar. No lacing but big alcohol legs. Salted Vegemite, chocolate, raisins and dark fruits. Notes of oak and medicinal alcohol. Just small amounts of the stranahan whisky. Iodine, dark, salted chocolate, stewed and almost rum soaked dark fruits, oak and medicinal alcohol. There is some roasted malts but not a lot. Thick, heavy, oily and just big. Quite boozy. Good amount of tannins with this as sticks to mouth well. Low carbonation. Interesting but the ocean voyage really changed the barrels. Not as good as when Breckenridge or Great Divide use that barrel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours jet black with a a few brown bubbles on top which quickly disappear. Nose is big on whisky. Notes of salty dark chocolate and bittersweet coffee beans mix with whisky. Lamington notes come across. Taste is spice and peppers with heavy dark and bitter cocoa. Loads of whisky with a whisky bite to finish it. Unlike most barrel aged beers I've ever had. Quite a creamy mouthfeel and not as boozy as I expected with the cask ageing and abv. Weird and crazy stuff ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Bottle) Pours black with a creamy, brown head. The aroma holds whiskey booze, vanilla, toffee, buttery wood, white paint, mint, aloe vera, green herbs, dark bread, salt liquorice, hard roast and “green”/resinous hops. The flavour is near medium sweet, medium to heavily bitter and light acidic with notes of alcohol, toffee, vanilla, wood, milk chocolate, dark caramel, liquorice and some subtle hops. The mouthfeel soft and smooth with a tiny astringent note from the barrel. Light carbonation. Vanilla, milk chocolate and liquorice on the finish. Medium to full bodied.
