COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Alkoholen varmer behageligt i finishen, varmer uden at brænde.

English: Barrel aged for 26 months on a Stranahans Colorado Whiskey barrel.

375ml bottle from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen

BBE 2022 - Pours dark brown, almost black with tiny head. Aroma of strong leather and roasty notes, hints of oak, wood, alcohol and vanilla. Taste is sweet and roasty with malty notes, hints of oak, wood and alcohol. Finish is boozy and sticky with hints of roastiness, oak and malts. Unbalanced, quite sweet and sticky. The regular version is much better.

Bottle from systembolaget that has been sitting in the cellar for a couple of years. Smell of whisky, oak, chocolate, booze and coffee. Similar taste but also with vanilla and quite sweet with a candy-like aroma to it.

Bottle, 375ml corked. A more or less black one, with a minimal-sized tan head. Oily pour. Quite a lot of wood and whiskey on the nose, with roasted malts, vanilla, dark chocolate and coffee. Lots of flavor, especially from the cask, with whiskey and wood. Dark chocolate, roasted malts and a distinct alcohol touch . Warming on the palate, full-bodied and sweetish, very soft and oily. Lasting warming finish with lots of chocolate and roasted malts. Pretty wonderful, although a bit too warming. 131116

SlackerMads (1241) - DENMARK - OCT 10, 2013
Bottle batch 197. A generous pour creates a small quickly disappearing light brown head. Real heavy on the whiskey, lots of oak, licorice allsorts, tarmac, light hard roasted malt. Warming alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft/medium carbonation. Medium sweet with little bitterness, a little thin texture for such a heavy beer. I guess this comes down to if you like all the whiskey and oak.

Pours black and achieves a small mocha head that fizzes away instantly. Aroma: sooo rich, whiskey, oaky, dark fruits, raisins, plums, dark sugars, cherries, vanilla. smells AMAZING. Taste: rich whiskey, some dark chocolate at the back, dark fruits, sweet, raisins, oak, some vanilla, slight oxidation?. Very complex rich and tasty brew. Bought it a couple of years ago.

HopRedHead (322) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 6, 2013
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours pitch black with no head or lacing. Immediate aroma of oaky vanilla, bourbon and raisins. Definitely dark, salty chocolate present too, as well as a touch of molasses and grass. Taste contains dark chocolate, salt, and almost a port & whisky cocktail flavour. Red grape aftertaste with pronounced bourbon flavours. Lack of carbonation is a little syrupy but I like the unique flavour profile.
