3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Borefts 2013. A as good as black one with a fairly nice medium sized brown bubbly top. Kinda foamy top. Smells nice with lots of licorice and a little smoke. Perhaps even a hint of some good quality chocolate. Smells nice. Oh, it’s quite tasty as well. Really different from what I was expecting, and really different from the beer I just had before this. Wet rocks and again that licorice. It’s surprisingly light oily on the mouthfeel and soft to average on the carbonation. I like the smoke this generates. It’s not the sweet beefy kind, more the wet rock-type and my kind of smoke. Not bad at all. 27.09.2013

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap at BBF13. Pour black with no head. Nose is especially boozy with small hints of drop (anice candy) and a bit of roasted malts. Booze is overwhelming in both palate and taste. Oh my... I like the other variants waaaaay better.

Mid black with a thinnish tan head.
Nose is liqourice, roast malt, light plastic, boozey tones.

Medium bodied with bite, boozey finale.
Drinkable impy but not one I’d revisit, one dimensional.

Borefts Beer Festival 5. Day 1. Clear deep brown beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and semi dry. Very light dark malts, touch woody. Tiny bit of Port Wine berry fruits. More wood. Light dry finish. I wanted more barrel from this.
