COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nyd Hr. Frederiksen – Swedish style.

Smagenoter:
I denne udgave fremstår Hr. Frederiksen stadig i denne version.

Bottle, bought at Systembolaget in 2011. Rating 2700. Black with a tan head. Quite weak aroma of light roasted malt, oak, red wine and coffee. About the same in the taste. Vinous with a light body. Drinkable but not that exciting.

Tunn kropp men lång eftersmak. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

250ml bottle. Nice coffee and wood aromas. Pours black, with nice tan head, persistent, good lacing. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is liquor, wood, coffee, cacao, very well integrated, Really good one.

Thanks to Papsoe for this one! Pours black with a smidgin of a sinisterly dark tan head which quickly disappears. Aroma shows caramel, pepper, heavy cocoa nibs and red wine. Vanilla and red wine mingle in the taste with heavy, bitter-heavy cocoa powder. Sweetness is overrun by bitterness. A touch of pepper on the finish with the red wine. Solid stuff, very complex

250 ml (though the label says 375 ml) bottle, from the brewery. ABV is 10.5%. Batch #300. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Strong roasty aroma with distinct notes of oak and red wine. Rich and warming mouthfeel. The flavour is oaky and roasty, with notes of red wine, dark dried fruits, coffee, chocolate and liquorice. Impressive stuff.

Bottle @ Ratman’s, courtesy of a Swedish friend. Pours a deep brown appearance with a thin, brown head. Somewhat fruity, grape, plum, fig, caramel, light chocolate aroma. Slightly tart, lightly oxidized, charred roasty malty, chocolate, caramel, fig, leather, plum flavor. Actually, maybe my favorite rendition of the beer.

Bottle from Henrik thanks ! A dark beer with medium brown head. Nose is on roasted notes with wood and light vanilla touch. Aroma is on dry dark malt, licorice, dark chocolate, light whiskey notes, light fig too, good complexity, a bit dry and alcoholic.

Opaque black beer, tidy tan head. Softish and semi dry palate with mild carbonation. Smooth dark malt, slight lactose. Mild coffee. Nice touch of red wine, well balanced with the other flavours. Semi dry finish with mild minerals. Nicely put together.

Appearance: Black color with a beige head. Nice lacing.
Aroma: Slightly sweet chocolate and coffee.
Palate: Thick oily body. Balanced sweet and a low bitterness. Creamy carbonation.
Taste: Rick chocolate, coffee and mild roasted malt. Some vinous notes, but not as much as expected. Well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: Funny version. And where did they find that Swedish wine barrel?
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with ★rlgk★.
