COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Even when just poured into the glass, you feel straight away that Mr. Frederiksen is a master of potency and great personality. Pitch-black as Mr. Frederiksen’s humor, this American style Imperial Stout has a dense and creamy, light brown head that leaves an abundance of lacing on the glass as it reluctantly settles.
We are happy to admit that we have gone slightly berserk with malt in this beer, eight different varieties were used including black and roasted malts that give this beer its color and almost extreme density - this is almost a meal in a bottle. The bitterness is also supplied by the roasted malts backed by the American Centennial hops.
Mr. Frederiksen is an experience to be savoured he should be enjoyed slowly throughout the course of an entire evening where you can warm yourselves by his alcohol and provocative charms.
We have named this beer after a good friend without whose wonderful support and assistance Amager Brewery would not be where it is today.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, oats, hops and yeast

Smooth drinkable stout at 10.5%. Aroma is dark fruits, toffee, toast, nuts, and a bit of char. Taste is lightly sweet and pleasant with little aftertaste. The taste lacks depth and the beer is a little thin but still very good.

Black with nice creamy brown head. Very nice soft-bodied imperial stout. Might be a little thicker in the body. Taste is soft roasted malts, chocolatand some hops, giving it a mild bitterness. Very good smooth imp. stout

Black pour. Big tan head that looks alive with activity as the huge, yeasty bubbles slowly explode. Looks like something fermenting. Big lacing. Smells of peppery chocolate rise to greet my nose. Peppery, woody, chocolate taste. Very dry chocolate, like powdered chocolate. Awesome. Sweet creamy mouthfeel. Tastes like a ramped up Old Rasputin. Very nice.

Draught, Avenue Pub. Very dark, basically a black colour. Only a little bit of head. Earthy, roasty with light chocolate and moderate hoppiness. This is a fairly standard impy nose. Very rich inky intense stout. Lots of bitterness and chocolate. Pretty well put together and drinkable if you’re doing a goblet. I guess the overwhelming impression I get is that this is one of those impies that proves the point - any well-made impy is likeable enough to score well. You can’t help but like, even though there is nothing all that special about it.

Poured from a bomber into a CSB sniffer. A. Pours a deep black with a light caramel head, 1-2mm thick that fades to a thin ring. S. Smells of peat, milk chocolate, toffee, and mild coffee. All reasonably blended and equal. T. Tastes of bitter chocolate, and strong toffee overtones. Very malty and rich. Finishes with a lighter chocolate and slight vanilla. M. Medium body, light taste. A little coarse with a smooth dry finish. O. I really like this beer. The toffee isn’t excessive, it is well balanced and packed full of flavor. It is very smooth to drink, but finishes dry making you always want another sip. This is a very good beer I would recommend anyone try.

Draft @ Avenue Pub. Pitch inky black, some scattered tan lace. Inky salty aroma, a little booze, silky smooth not hoppy or toasty just really smooth and accessible. Licorice. 95% cocoa. Little peat. Brine and oyster stout. Very dry finish. Loverly.

Pours black with a medium mocha head...decent lacing. Aroma has roasty dark fruit...a bit boozy. Flavor follows suit and adds just a hint of smoke at the back end. Mouthfeel is very creamy...almost heavy and oily...and the finish is dry and roasty with oaky/coffee notes.

500 ml. Opaque with a lasting disc of cream. Nose is grain, cocoa, toast and smoky rye. Taste is the same, with some raisin and ash. Medium body is watery, well balanced and has medium carbonation. Decent, but disappointing given the hype here.
