COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Even when just poured into the glass, you feel straight away that Mr. Frederiksen is a master of potency and great personality. Pitch-black as Mr. Frederiksen’s humor, this American style Imperial Stout has a dense and creamy, light brown head that leaves an abundance of lacing on the glass as it reluctantly settles.
We are happy to admit that we have gone slightly berserk with malt in this beer, eight different varieties were used including black and roasted malts that give this beer its color and almost extreme density - this is almost a meal in a bottle. The bitterness is also supplied by the roasted malts backed by the American Centennial hops.
Mr. Frederiksen is an experience to be savoured he should be enjoyed slowly throughout the course of an entire evening where you can warm yourselves by his alcohol and provocative charms.
We have named this beer after a good friend without whose wonderful support and assistance Amager Brewery would not be where it is today.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, oats, hops and yeast

Bottle. Pours black with a two finger brown head. Aroma was rich with roasted coffee, chocolate, dark malts and had a hint of licorice. Flavor was well-balanced and moderately sweet with dark bitter chocolate, coffee, dark roasted malts and some light alcohol with a smooth and oily thick body. Excellent imp stout

Bottle. Pitch black pour with a small help and minimal lacing. Aroma boozy, chocolate, coffee, espresso, some dark fruit, caramel, licorice cocoa. Taste roasty, espresso, coffee, bakers/dark chocolate, oats, bitterness. Surprised this was rated so high. ABV not hidden as well as American counterparts. The warming affect does help by the end of the bottle.

Pours black/heavy dark-brown, nice tan thick head. Big coffee notes in the aroma, along with dark chocolate, some dark fruit, roasted malt. Thick mouthfeel, mild carbonation. Tastes a bit like wort, pretty sweet. Not a lot of coffee in the taste, more chocolate and roasted malt. Some mild vanilla/bourbonish notes towards the end, rounds it off well. The alcohol is there, not disturbing. Good beer

Batch 333. Bottle from Barleywine. Spent 1 year in my cellar. Pours black with an awesome tan/brown head. Aroma is quite mild, tones of roasted malts and heavy roasted coffee. Taste of bitter chokolate, sweet wort and coffee. Ends bitter, but is still smooth. This is truly great stuff, and shows what you can get from just malts.

50cl flaska.

500ml. bottle. Pours a thick, long duration, mocha head, with attractive lacing, over a black (SRM 40) body....nose is coffee, chocolate, toffee/caramel, hint of vanilla...taste is light coffee, bits of chocolate, cocoa, dried fruit including raisin, fig, toffee/caramel hints, finishing with light bitterness...mouth feel thick, chewy, alcohol hidden, carbonation makes a creamy sensation. This is a well balanced, thoroughly nourishing, pleasant drinking Imperial Stout. It does not have all of the subtle characteristics of aroma and flavor of the very, very best, but it comes close. Sampled at an esbls tasting. Black with red and a nice tan head. A dark fruit and chocolate nose. The flavor has those with some hop high notes. Outstanding.

Bottle at Green Lion Inn, BSF Event - Blind tasting. Malmö, October 2011.
Pours black with a dark brown head. Aromas of chocolate, port wine, coffee and liquorice. Roasted notes of malt and some sweet toffee. Well balanced! Smooth and rich taste with more malts and rich chocolate, prominent flavours of red berries and coffee. Slightly spicy with a well balanced sweetness. Nice!

50cl bottle. Pours black, with a brown head. Smells sweet, of roasted malt, coffee, caramel and other goodness. Tastes rich of dark chocolate, coffee, and malts. A heavy sweetness with a medium-strong bitterness. The texture is oily, with some active carbonation, and a very full body, overall feeling quite thick and creamy with an oily slickness to it. Finishes quite bitter, and subtly hits you with the alcohol. A very nice beer.

500 ml (Batch 402) bottle @ home. Pours pitch black (some debris floating around) with a khaki coloured head that slowly dies down leaving a lot of lace. Aroma is very peppery and also dark chocolate, roasted malts, coffee. Taste is roasted with plenty of coffee and bitter chocolate. ABV is quite well hidden.

Big, crisp taste, a lot hopper than expected, doesn't really taste like a Russian Imperial. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
