COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Even when just poured into the glass, you feel straight away that Mr. Frederiksen is a master of potency and great personality. Pitch-black as Mr. Frederiksen’s humor, this American style Imperial Stout has a dense and creamy, light brown head that leaves an abundance of lacing on the glass as it reluctantly settles.
We are happy to admit that we have gone slightly berserk with malt in this beer, eight different varieties were used including black and roasted malts that give this beer its color and almost extreme density - this is almost a meal in a bottle. The bitterness is also supplied by the roasted malts backed by the American Centennial hops.
Mr. Frederiksen is an experience to be savoured he should be enjoyed slowly throughout the course of an entire evening where you can warm yourselves by his alcohol and provocative charms.
We have named this beer after a good friend without whose wonderful support and assistance Amager Brewery would not be where it is today.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, oats, hops and yeast

April 11, 2015. Bottle at home, best before december 2018.
Black with a small dense brown head. Aroma is roasted, licorice, molasses, herbal, coffee and ash. Taste is sweet toffee and licorice with bitter roast and ash. Medium bitter finish with ash notes and some sweet licorice and dark berries. Medium to full bodied, soft to average carbonation.

50cl bottle. Pours absolutely black with a thick bubbly beige head. Aroma is light with some roastiness, red fruits, some sourness, burnt sugar, some alcohol. Taste is wonderful: strong roastiness, bitter chocolate, coffee. Excellent very long bitter finish with lots of roasted notes. Thick oily mouthfeel, full body, light carbonation, some alcoholic warming. Meravigliosa.

Opaque brown-black. Tan thin head with big bubbles, watery fizzy legs. Smells sweetly floral, grassy herb (a bit like Chinese medicine), light roasty bitterness in background. Tastes quite sweet, vanilla and floral, hint of burnt coffee and spice, acidic finish. Body is sharp and heavy and a bit cloying. Not at all what I expected for an American style Imperial stout. Heavy herbal bitterness and sweet. Interesting beer even if it isn't something I'd buy again.

HKdIPA (381) - HONG KONG - APR 12, 2015
Bottle from Craftissimo at home. Dark dark brown pour with foamy tan head. Aroma is not like a stout - more sweet and hoppy, less roasted malt. Intriguing. Taste is very malty but not as roasted as most stouts like this (certainly not an "American-style" imperial stout as description claims). Centennial hops present with all its apple juice sweetness. Surprisingly sweet, not like "sweet stout", but sweeter IPA hoppiness. Could almost be a black IPA if it weren't so heavy and malty. Slight 廿四味 in the aftertaste but not too bad. Bit of booziness too. Interestingly unusual but probably wouldn't get again.

Black color with brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate and some fruitess. Taste of dark chocolate, little coffee with no hidden notes of alcohol. Overall very good imperial stout, surly better than from Siner series "The Pride"

Butelka 500 ml, sklep "Świat Piwa" w Tychach. Barwa czarna nieprzejrzysta, bujna piana szybko się redukuje. Na dnie brzydki osad drożdżowy. W aromacie czekolada, likier wiśniowy, skórka chleba razowego, karmel, alkohol. Niskie wysycenie, wytrawne jak na RISa. Bardzo pijalne.

Butelka. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta. Piana beżowa, niewysoka. Aromat i smak czekolady, kakao, kawy, ciemnych słodów. Po ogrzaniu alkohol ogrzewa przełyk. Solidna goryczka. Bardzo treściwe. Bardzo dobry imperialny staut, w bardzo przystępnej cenie.
