English: Even when just poured into the glass, you feel straight away that Mr. Frederiksen is a master of potency and great personality. Pitch-black as Mr. Frederiksen’s humor, this American style Imperial Stout has a dense and creamy, light brown head that leaves an abundance of lacing on the glass as it reluctantly settles.
We are happy to admit that we have gone slightly berserk with malt in this beer, eight different varieties were used including black and roasted malts that give this beer its color and almost extreme density - this is almost a meal in a bottle. The bitterness is also supplied by the roasted malts backed by the American Centennial hops.
Mr. Frederiksen is an experience to be savoured he should be enjoyed slowly throughout the course of an entire evening where you can warm yourselves by his alcohol and provocative charms.
We have named this beer after a good friend without whose wonderful support and assistance Amager Brewery would not be where it is today.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, oats, hops and yeast

From a 500ml bottle on 12/11/2012 (batch no. 413, BB 02/2017). Pours close to black with a lovely medium light tan head. Has a lovely chocolatey aroma with some woody and unusual floral notes. The flavour is sublime, with an explosion of milk chocolate, along with some caramel fudge, a with a dash of espresso, a touch of vanilla, and a hint of dark fruit. Countering is a massive roasty bitterness and big hop presence. The palate is velvety and the carbonation perhaps a shade higher than a typical for the style. Incredibly moreish and easy to drink for something that’s 10.5%. An astoundingly complex, exceptional imperial stout.

Aroma of ice cream like sweetness, roast and hops with a burnt quality. Good, but not particularly strong. Pitch black appearance with fair amount of light tan foam. The thinness of the appearance keeps it from being a 5. Taste is a very sharp bite of roast and hops that lasts well into the aftertaste, finally giving way to a booze burn. Nothing sweet here, it’s a full fledged Imperial Stout. Surprisingly thin palate; I really wanted more in this aspect. Overall this was good; I would classify it as a poor man’s Bell’s Expedition Stout. Not 100 in my book by any means, but enjoyable and potent, bith in flavor and ABV.

Ok that’s a stout! Although the appearance is its weak point due to lots of sediments aroma and taste go great with deep coffee and dark chocolate flavours. Smooth and tasty with the booze that kicks after few sips. A pleasure of beer.

0.5 l bottle from Hoppiness, Koper. Dark brown with big frothy beige head, some sediment floats in the glass. Roasty aroma, dark bread, alcohol, whisky-like. Very dry, hoppy even, full body. Roasty bitterness. Not as complex as I would have thought.
