English: Even when just poured into the glass, you feel straight away that Mr. Frederiksen is a master of potency and great personality. Pitch-black as Mr. Frederiksen’s humor, this American style Imperial Stout has a dense and creamy, light brown head that leaves an abundance of lacing on the glass as it reluctantly settles.
We are happy to admit that we have gone slightly berserk with malt in this beer, eight different varieties were used including black and roasted malts that give this beer its color and almost extreme density - this is almost a meal in a bottle. The bitterness is also supplied by the roasted malts backed by the American Centennial hops.
Mr. Frederiksen is an experience to be savoured he should be enjoyed slowly throughout the course of an entire evening where you can warm yourselves by his alcohol and provocative charms.
We have named this beer after a good friend without whose wonderful support and assistance Amager Brewery would not be where it is today.

500 ml bottle @ Gastropub Nordic. Rated @ 14.5.2010.
Pours a pitch black colour with a massive, a bit creamy head. Lots of roastiness on the nose with coffee, chocolate, malt and hop notes. Roasted coffee and hops dominating the taste with notes of salty licorice. Full bodied with very rich flavours. Warming mouthfeel. Really good.

Bottle at home. Three years old. Pours a black color with a light beige head. Malty aroma of rye bread, roasted malt, ash, wood and some dark chocolate. Malty flavor as well along with wood, rye bread, coffee and leather. Has a slick mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. A malty IS with lots of rye bread. Quite simple but solid.

Pitch black colour. Nice white head. Smoked plum, smoke, hints of berries, coffee and caramel in the aroma. Salty caramel at first. Smokiness in the middle. Hints of cocoa and a bit of alcohol. Chocolaty, bitter finish. Roastex coffee in aftertaste. Very well balanced, with nice creamy texture, rather medium carbonated, very drinkable imperial stout. Wow.

Pours pitch black with two finger tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, grassy hops, and some spice. Creamy mouthfeel. Taste is bitter chocolate, earthy hops, spice. Carbonation compliments this beer. Alcohol burn in the finish. A lot going on in this beer. Im not a huge fan of American imp stouts, but this is done quite well.

Bottle from Santa, thanks for the opportunity! Solid black with a frothy tan head that persists forever. Creamed coffee roastiness with bits of bitter chocolate and some smoke and warming alcohol. Very nicely made stout!

Vintage bottle 2014. Roasted malts, coffee and some dark fruits in aroma. Pours pitch black with tall tan head, oily texture. Taste is similar to nose with some chocolate added, alcohol hidden very well. Finish is bitter. Bitterness (grapefruit-like) is really huge and unfortunately astringent. I’ve felt it half an our after the end of the bottle. Overall really overhoped, defenitely brew with character, not for everybody.

Kolor: Czarny. Nieprzejrzysty.
Zaleciało tutaj palonością i lekkim wędzonym aromatem. Zaraz za tym poszły nuty kawowe. Z przykrością stwierdzam, że alkohol drażni mocno nos.
Smak: Bardzo alkoholowy.
Zawiedziony...

Draft at The Avenue Pub, New Orleans. Black-brown with small beige head. Aroma and taste of roasted malts, dark chocolate, and some coffee. Alcohol becomes more apparent as it warms. Rich and complex. Excellent.
