English: Even when just poured into the glass, you feel straight away that Mr. Frederiksen is a master of potency and great personality. Pitch-black as Mr. Frederiksen’s humor, this American style Imperial Stout has a dense and creamy, light brown head that leaves an abundance of lacing on the glass as it reluctantly settles.
We are happy to admit that we have gone slightly berserk with malt in this beer, eight different varieties were used including black and roasted malts that give this beer its color and almost extreme density - this is almost a meal in a bottle. The bitterness is also supplied by the roasted malts backed by the American Centennial hops.
Mr. Frederiksen is an experience to be savoured he should be enjoyed slowly throughout the course of an entire evening where you can warm yourselves by his alcohol and provocative charms.
We have named this beer after a good friend without whose wonderful support and assistance Amager Brewery would not be where it is today.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, oats, hops and yeast

Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad! Batch 5 Bottle 396 / 400 Best before 05 / 2010 The beer appears near black, with a quarter inch of beige head that leaves a fair bit of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of smoke, roast, and chocolate. The flavor is a little sweet, with notes of chocolates and roast. Alcohol presence is discernible, especially in the finish. Overall, a pretty decent beer and representation of the style. A small serving was just right. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-30-2011

Black pour with a thin light tan head that leaves good lacing. Rich dark and roasty nose with some cocoa and a light creaminess with a bit of earthy black malt. Big full palate that has a bit of a booze warmth, but is loaded with dark chocolate, roast, black malt, a kiss of coffee, and earthy black malt. Big and chewy and warm and roasty.

Black with a beige, thin head. Roasted malts, cacao. Somewhat bitter in the taste/finish but a loveley mouthfeel, with the right amount of carbonation, avarage but perfectly balanced for an imperial stout with a creamy texture. Different malts add to the complexity, but not necessarily in a good way.

Bottle from SlackerMads (euro local swap), many thanks! Batch 1222. Pours pitch black with a yellow/beige head. Lots of liquorice and dark chocolate, salt, some kind of spiciness, oats, caramel. Medium sweet and high bitterness, creamy, full body. Lingering bitter finish with hot flashes. Lovely.

Pours a thick brown head with reach aromas of toffee, dark black chocolate and candy. Black oil colored body. Lots of rich but smooth malts in mouth with well balanced bitterness. Good result with no excess of alcohol, malts nor hops. Very smooth and warm to enjoy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

’Multi-grain’ imperial stout, bomber shared by Jan, thanks! Creamy, pale beige, thickly lacing head remaining stable (especially seen the ABV), over a very dark burgundy beer, as good as black. Aroma of a lot of bitter chocolate, roasted peanuts, cold black coffee, whisky, espresso, leather, almond, meat broth and beef stock, bayleaf, caramel, shoe polish. Dried fruits in the mouth, quite intense with sweetness nicely balanced with basic sourishness and meaty umami flavors, softish carbo, thick oily body, velvety (oats!) and a tad soapy (wheat), nutty, toasted and chocolatey with coffeeish roasted bitterness in the end, just a tad metallic too but in a natural (’blood’-like) way, peppery hops in the finish but also - and this is where the beauty ends - a lot of wodka-like alcohol which tires the palate and leaves an astringent sensation on the root of the tongue. If the alcohol had been hidden better, this would have been a world class RIS.

Po przelaniu do szkła tworzy ładna, drobna, beżowa piana. Barwa ciemno brązowa, prawie czarna, nieprzejrzysta, z rubinowymi refleksami. Aromat delikatny, głownie przypominający cappuccino, czekoladę, kakao, trufle. W smaku dość słodkie, dość gęste, lekko wyklejające, niezwykle gładkie - są śliwki w czekoladzie, likier kawowy, karmel przypalany, porto... Goryczka niska do średniej, niskie nagazowanie. Alkohol obecny i fajnie grzeje.
Warka do lutego 2019.
