COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: This is the true story of how ”Hr. Papsø on Acid” was born:
One day at Amager Bryghus (Amager Brewery) one brewer said to the other:
”Damm, I hate how this Papsø dude is always so cool and controlled. Shouldn’t we do something about it?”. The other brewer answered: “Hell yeah, you’re right. Way too cool for my liking – and so tense. Listen, my mum just returned from her yearly pilgrimage to Haight-Ashbury. She brought back this small bag of local herbs, will that be any good to loosen him up a bit?”. The first brewer sniffed to the small herbal bag and said: “They sure smell funny, let’s spike up Hr. Papsø!”
What happened next, nobody knows – yet…
This beer was made in honor of our dear friend, Mr. Henrik Papsø, who reached 20,000 ratings in 2011 at Ratebeer.com – we thank him for his support of Amager Bryghus!
A Quad aged on a port barrel. Brewed with malt, hops, candy syrup, yeast, local Haight-Ashbury herbs and...Brett.

Thanks to Henrik for this bottle. Sweet, tangy, sticky, this beer is nice to sit on a "cold" winter day in Southern California (65F/18C). It leaves a nice long warming feeling. It’s a murky brown pour, and just has a slightly different flavor.

(37,5 cl bottle; batch #247) Pours a clear brown with little, quickly receding tan head. Aroma has notes of port, alcohol with a hint sourness. Oily texture, full body, soft carbonation and a warming finish. Flavour is sweet and surprisingly harmonic although is more akin to drinking a glass of port or sherry than drinking beer. Notes of dark fruit.

Red-brown colored with vanishing head. Rich raisinny aroma with sweetness, thin alcohol and some grassy note, sugary one. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is also sweet with same raisin, little bit barley wineish tones here. Aftertaste has some herbal note with stronger alcohol.

Bottle thanks to the man himself. Pours a very deep mahigany. Very small cream coloured head disappears almost instantaneously. Aromas of swett caramel, dark fruits and fortified wines. Some alcohol as it warms. Flavours are very sweet. Dark fruits and plenty of malt. Some alcohol warmth on the finish. Slick fullish mouthfeel. Not much of the brett coming through. Huge thanks to Henrik for the one.

From the Croatian RB Crew November 2011 tasting, courtesy of the ever generous Papsø, who gave Ogi and Maja the bottles we "missed" when they were in Denmark (enormous thanks!).
Poured a very, very dark misty amber body with a tiny off white head. Creamy, full nose, a blast of raisins from the barrel., light alcohol. Creamy malty taste, raisins, warming alcohol. Vague bitterness. DId I say raisins? Very very slightly medicinal, bit dusty, light orange. Hmm. I liked it!
