Madsnp (102), Vinens Verden, Slotsgade, Denmark Apr 13, 2008 Bottle. Very dark brown with a thin beige head. Malty and sweet aroma, with notes of raisins and hops. Flavour of sweet malt, roasted malt and a little sour. I’m a little disappointed with this one, but i must admit that i had high expectations about this sample.
ekstedt (1731), Göteborg, Sweden Jul 7, 2008 Sampled at the RBESG08 grand tasting. Shady copper with medium beige head. Fruity and caramelly malt aroma with citric hops and some roasted notes. Medium bodied and smooth. Dry with moderate bitterness. sunevdj (1346), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 1, 2008 Bottled. Pours a very dark brown with a tanned head. Full bodied. Kinda hoppy sour. Low to medium carbonation. Bitter finish. madsberg (4362), Bangalore, India Jun 29, 2008 Bottled. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Small brown head. Chocolate, brown sugar, sweetness and some fruits in the aroma. Flavour of fruits, light herbs, spice and brown sugar. Some carmelly notes. Medium bodied. Dry. Light bitter sweetness in the end. Quite easy to drink. Adenila (589), Denmark Jun 15, 2008 Clear dark brown with no head. Aroma is light nutty along with caramel and bread. Sleightly toasted flavor with medium floral bitterness, some sugery sweetness in there aswell and overall very drinkable for a 7.2% abv MiP (4744), Flensburg, Germany Jun 9, 2008 Bottle at ÅBF08. Weak brown ale aroma, nice and sweet, slightly roasted. Clear dark brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is quite acidic. Strange acidity, not to style, I guess.
