English: It is hardly a secret that we at the Amager Brewery have a deep rooted love for Imperial Stouts - the noblest of all beers. In fact, we are constantly in the process of developing new variations of this fine beverage, this variation has eight malts and three hops. We are particularly proud to present what we feel is the king of hops: Zeus.
Amager Imperial Stout is a beer as black as mortal sin , crowned with the densest and most creamy light brown head. The coffee and chocolate accents are very distinct, but they come exclusively from the malt, while the aroma is rich with vanilla.
Amager Imperial Stout is in all respects a fierce beer for the more demanding and experienced beer drinkers who are not afraid to challenge their senses.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, oats, brown sugar, hops and yeast

from Erzbierschof - black beer under a long lasting dark beige foam; the hops succeed to dominate the roasted malts leaving notes of blackcurrant, licorice and black cherries; full-bodied and rounded; moderately carbonated; gently sticky and solidly bitter; pretty dry and long hoppy and roasted malty finish with hints of chocolate, earth, tar and black cherries - the alcohol is pretty well-hidden

Bottle. Head is small, brown and compact. The beer is almost black. Aroma is great: vanilla, chocolate and hops (a bit fruity). Taste is bitter coffee with noticeable hops. Soft carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Finish is dry, sharp bitterness, warming.

Different imperial stout or, at the very least, not what I expected. Very hoppy and bitter. The aroma had me fooled at first. A bit too dry a finish for me. Still, I definitely enjoyed this beer. Thanks for the recommendation BoBo!

Bottle. Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that disapated with some lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit and some alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a rich smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium sweet chocolate flavor with a medium sweet smooth finish of moderate duration. Was this to be a victory beer or to drown my sorrows? That was in doubt to the last second of the game. Drown my sorrows it did.

Pours black with very small beige head. Smells sweet and well roasted. The taste is rich and has depth even with a strong roasted grain. There is a soft fruit under the grain, sort of a cherry like sweetness. Nice smooth chocolaty taste with the -almost near burnt but not- grain leaves a slightly dry rich grainy taste with a slight boozy warmth. Very tasty, and well worth trying.

Black, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, caramel, candy sugar and sweets. Bitter flavour, roasted malts and some caramel. Finish roasted malts and mocha.

11/VIII/2012 50cl bottle @ RBBSG - BB: VI/13 - batch 150 (2012-922) Thanks to secretsanta for sharing the bottle!

Very dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige to brown head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: mocha, coffee, sweet touch, brown sugar, caramel, somewhat spicy. MF: quite some carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of mocha, coffee, very bitter hops, bit of caramel, sugary. Aftertaste: bitter hops, lots of coffee, pretty bitter. Not my style of stout, but ok.
