English: Forget about India Pale Ale being an English beer, which should be robust enough to withstand the long sea voyage from England to India. Our version of an IPA is totally inspired by the new interpretations, especially those found on the U.S. west coast.
A solid malt base, combined with Simcoe, Amarillo and Cascade hops and then just dry hopped enough to ensure that the hop burn is thorough. It is fruity and fresh, it’s bitter like hell and it is strong enough to give you a little kick if you drink a couple of bottles or three.
This is how we make a great IPA at Amager. We don’t have a single doubt that you will enjoy our IPA , because it is a damn good beer. Cheers!

Copper colored with a massive foam. Grapefruit and pinapple in both aroma and taste, Low carbonation, medium dry, a good bitterness that lingers on.

Croff (164) - Ostra Sonnarslov, SWEDEN - MAY 23, 2010
Pours a cloudy, opaque amber. Big off white head. Aroma of hop, fruit, citrus, pine, malt, bit of caramel. Hop, citrus, malt, grass flavor. Dry malty finish. It is nice and hoppy until you get to the finish and then the hop disappears and a sweet malt takes over,(not to my liking). But overall it is a decent brew.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2012 Bottle from systembolaget. Re-rated in 2012, first rating in 2011. I didn’t like the first bottle and gave it a 3/5 with this comment: "The taste and smell is a bit odd, the soap feels out of place. But what I really miss is the hops. They are there but I just want more." Now lets see what I think about this years version. This one is allot better, higher hop aroma, sweet malty body and strong bitterness. I can’t feel any soap and the hop aroma is pleasent all over. Nice malty IPA.

Bottle, batch 252:
Pours muddy brown with a large foamy head. Resiny, hoppy tropical fruit aroma. Slightly sourish, dusty, resiny, fruity orange peel flavour. Pretty good IPA, but I suspect there’s some kind of infection starting to raise its ugly head here.

On tap at Ørsted Ølbar, Copenhagen May 2010. Hazy amber with a medium head. Aroma of grape, citrus, strawberries, malt and some cookies. Very fresh and dry taste of tropical fruits, grass and caramel. It’s always a pleasure to drink a fresh IPA. This was good but not excellent.

Bottle. Hazy copper, thick head. Pine:y nose with additional pineapple, very fresh. Good mouthfeel, sweet flavour turning into a somewhat unusual bitter taste of wood in the finish. Very interesting, leaves you craving for another one. Tasty, complex and well-balanced. Tad pricey, though.
