COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Forget about India Pale Ale being an English beer, which should be robust enough to withstand the long sea voyage from England to India. Our version of an IPA is totally inspired by the new interpretations, especially those found on the U.S. west coast.
A solid malt base, combined with Simcoe, Amarillo and Cascade hops and then just dry hopped enough to ensure that the hop burn is thorough. It is fruity and fresh, it’s bitter like hell and it is strong enough to give you a little kick if you drink a couple of bottles or three.
This is how we make a great IPA at Amager. We don’t have a single doubt that you will enjoy our IPA , because it is a damn good beer. Cheers!
Ingredients: Water, barley malt , hops, and yeast

Bottle. Pours out in a cloudy amber color with a rich fluffy off-white head. Strong but unfocused hop aroma of wet grass, sweet mint, soap and pine with hints of neutral yeast and mild spices. Medium-bodied with notes of hrass, hay, rubber, mild pine and blond grapefruit. Soapy and plastic mouthfeel. Medium-bitter finish of lemon, hay, soap and wet grass. Decent IPA.

(Bottle) Pours cloudy dark amber with a big off-white head. The aroma is of wet tobacco, Swedish snus, green apples, tart citrus (grapefruit, unripe orange and lime), overripe peach, unripe wild strawberries, spices and mint-ish herbs. Malty notes of mild burned/toasted cookies (brown malt?), sweet sticky dark bread, dry honey and caramel. Some wet dog-like oxidation also notable. Floral, earthy and piny undertones. Hints of Vicks lemon .The flavour is light sweet, medium bitter and tiny acidic. Citric, juicy, herbal and earthy alongside a “dark” toasted malt profile. The mouthfeel is fairly clean and almost tart from the hops with a medium carbonation. Light metallic, resinous and citric hop bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Nice brew, but not in the top of IPA. Nice aroma which is fresh. But there are missing something in the beer to get it in top.

Hand bottle shared by byaeger. Maybe this one didn’t take well to the hand bottling, or maybe it was just a meh-worthy beer. Pours a hazy reddish-amber color (very dark for an IPA) with a large, lasting off-white head. Aroma is grassy and citrusy hops along with caramel malt. Decent. Flavor is also decent, but far from impressive. Caramel malt, hops reminiscent of fresh-cut grass, slight citrus, and maybe even a little soapiness. Medium body with some mild hop oils and slight syrupiness. Not the biggest fan of this one overall, although it wasn’t terrible.

Bottle. Pours clear amber coloured with a nice lacing off white head. Clean and crisp aroma with notes of pine, citrus fruit, caramel and grapes. Great! Clean flavour with notes of sweet malt and aromatic hops. Super simple (yet hard to make). Clean, crisp and balanced. Awesome brew!
