English: Forget about India Pale Ale being an English beer, which should be robust enough to withstand the long sea voyage from England to India. Our version of an IPA is totally inspired by the new interpretations, especially those found on the U.S. west coast.
A solid malt base, combined with Simcoe, Amarillo and Cascade hops and then just dry hopped enough to ensure that the hop burn is thorough. It is fruity and fresh, it’s bitter like hell and it is strong enough to give you a little kick if you drink a couple of bottles or three.
This is how we make a great IPA at Amager. We don’t have a single doubt that you will enjoy our IPA , because it is a damn good beer. Cheers!

Bottle at home. Pours clear golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is grassy, some yeast, earthy and floral. Taste is moderate to heavy bitter and a light malty backbone. Nice enough. Good thirst quencher. Medium body with average carbonation.

On tap at Archive. Don’t usually see tap beers from Amager so I jumped at the chance to try this. Wasn’t disappointed.

Rødbrun i fargen med beige skum. Humle, fruktig- plummelukt. Humle, grapefrukt men også noe mettallisk smak. Bitter, medium kullsyre. Vil heller anbefale Amagers Wookiee IPA

Very thin head. Nice round bouquet. Quite a bitter aftertaste. Too bitter explosion in the mouth. Not enough aromas are distinquisable.

Bottle, pours dark amber. Aroma is lightly roasted with hints of caramel and chocolate, lots og hops with citrus and tropical fruit notes. Flavour is sweet with caramel and chocolate, hoppy with citrus, grapefruit and tropical fruit.

Nice appearance, clear poor with pleasant head that laces the glass all the way down. Not much in the way of aroma. Taste is bitter. Erg bitter which is good but there is no significant stand out flavour to add to the beer. Over all brilliant bitter notes but not much else.

Bottle@Home. Very grassy hops in the aroma. Light brown, off-white head, fair lace. Light malt sweet, hint of dark malts, very very grassy, loads of hops, nutty. Dry-ish. It’s nearing the edge of too grassy, you gotta love hops.
