English: Forget about India Pale Ale being an English beer, which should be robust enough to withstand the long sea voyage from England to India. Our version of an IPA is totally inspired by the new interpretations, especially those found on the U.S. west coast.
A solid malt base, combined with Simcoe, Amarillo and Cascade hops and then just dry hopped enough to ensure that the hop burn is thorough. It is fruity and fresh, it’s bitter like hell and it is strong enough to give you a little kick if you drink a couple of bottles or three.
This is how we make a great IPA at Amager. We don’t have a single doubt that you will enjoy our IPA , because it is a damn good beer. Cheers!

Bottle from Uba ja Humal in Tallinn (€ 6.50). BB 09/2015. Pours a murky dark rusty amber colour. Head is big, cream-coloured, retaining and lacing beautifully. Nose is ripe tropical fruits, grapefruit, toffee, flowers and biscuits, musky and spicy, slightly gingerbready and kinda pungent. Taste is delicate toffee, biscuit and caramel sweetness, continuing and finishing with a bunch of grapefruit seed bitterness, but also more sweeter citruses... Body medium, carbonation very pleasantly soft. Quite dry on the palate. The caramel-coated citrusy bitter finish lingers long. Overall I consider this an enjoyable, over-hopped Amber Ale.

0,50 bottle purchase at the Hoppy Imports (Thessaloniki-Greece), consumed in Kosovo. Best before 09/2015. Pours a very nice and unexpected deep amber color, reddish in a way with a huge ivory foam. Nose: light fruity notes, peach, a smoky background hint. Mouth: round chicory bitterness, medium body, malts. Good but not terrific at all!

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2015 Opaque dark amber, strong beige head. Roasty caramel nose with some American hop notes. Full-bodied with a strong bitterness balanced by some caramel sweetness. Finishes a bit harsh, quite bitter and warming. Good, but I fear the hop nose has escaped.

A pretty bitter in taste and a bit less bitter in aftertaste. However, very bitter and should be enjoyed as last or better the only beer of the evening. No sweetness, if youŗe searching for that, get an imperial. Ir is rather aggressive and overall not a bad drink after a long day at work.

Cervesa amb un marcat aroma afruitat que es transporta també en gust però alla està barrejat amb gust de caramel. Cerveza con un marcado aroma frutado que se transporta también al sabor, pero allí esta mezclado con sabor a caramelo.

on tap at the sadly-no-longer-with-us bryggens olbar. rich shade of orange golden with a lasting whisked eggwhite head; aroma of zesty citrus and soft caramel; some flavours of curacao, grapefruit, toffee apple, floorboards and then a fair old whack of bitterness

500 ml bottle at home, from the Hoppy Pub, thessaloniki. Clear dark amber-copper-reddish color with almost beige head. Aroma is not intense, hoppy, grassy floral and piney, malty too. Taste sweet and heavy bitter, more fruity hoppy in the beginning, grapefruit and pine, malty caramel and bitter finish. Medium ily body with average carbonation.
