Adenila (712), Denmark Nov 3, 2007 Draught at Ølbaren.
Hazy dark brown look with a huge lightbrown creamy head. Aroma isnt too intence, different spices are detected along with roasted malts. Flavor is sweet at first, but only for a little bit, since bitterness from roasted malts takes over. Again lots of spices like cloves. Leaves a fairly bitter aftertaste, and a pepper lige spiceyness.
Miksu (1357), Jyväskylä, Finland Dec 4, 2008 Bottled. Dark brown color. Sweet aroma with ginger, clove, cardamon and caramel. Sweet worty and toffeish flavor with plenty of ginger and other cristmas spices. Too spicy and too sharp for me, like a liquid cristmas cake.
skortila (2480), Bunnik, Netherlands Dec 4, 2008 Bottle, tnx to thewolf. Aroma has coffee, ginger, cinamon and malts. Dark brown coloured with a lasting, beige head. Taste is sweet, malty, bit nutty and quite spicy -ginger/cinnamon-. Too spicy imo. Why are there so many beers with ginger in it? ilovedarkbeer (844), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 23, 2008 bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Great looking, Black brown body with a big tope head.
