COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Hazy deep amber liquid with medium white head. Aroma of raw sugar, raisins, caramel, bread, citrus and biscuit. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of grain, biscuit raisins and raw sugar. Light to medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. A bit watery.

24/05 A 0.5l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, thanks for sharing! It poured hazy amber to brown body with medium sized head. Fruit malty with a touch of bourbon in aroma. Flavor was fruity as well, peach and ripe berries, some toasted to very lightly roasted malt notes here as well with cinnamon or similar, a bit earthy spice. Thinner in body, not particularly flavorful although it had shown qualities. A tad too much alcohol felt considering the ABV. Pleasant and enjoyable, although way too ordinary for the brewery. (that didn’t show some quality anyway in all their 3 beers that day)

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of and great thx to Papsoe for sending me a bunch of Amager beers to celebrate my 5K milestone. Murky golden/orange coloured, medium sized off-white head, caramel and overripe fruits in the nose. Toasted malt, caramel and light spicy with dry bitterish finish. Pleasant one.

Papsoe’s, through Ogi & Maja, feat. heavy. Poured a peachy murky golden-ochre body with a biiiig off white head. Yeasty, fruity peachy fresh malty aroma. Hmm... Was everything peachy for me that day. Creamy malty light taste, slightly chalky and yeasty, kinda empty, dry, slightly bitter. Nice yet unimpressive. Most breweries in the world make something better/more complex/more special for their Christmas beer. It’s only sensible that Amager who does brilliant stuff regularly does something that seems commonplace for a special occasion.

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It pours an almost clear body, dark golden in color and topped by a finger-thick, off-white head. A beer trying to escape the bottle on its own. The aroma is malty, almost buttery, with a touch of fruityness blending in. Malty flavor too, with caramel, sweetness and some alcohol. A nice bitterness chimes in towards the end, lasting for a good while. Very lightly warming on the palate, smooth and pleasantly carbonating. Certainly not an unpleasant one, but it’s sure one of the most boring and uninteresting beers from Ama’r, failing big time to lead my thougts to Christmas. 120525

[Thanks to fonefan]. 50cl bottle. Hazy orange colour with a white head with perfect lasting and nice lacework. Aroma is toasted, caramel, toffee, plumbake and sirup. Flavor is slightly sweet, bready, yeasty, red fruits are slightly present. The final is light bittery with an average duration.

500 ml bottle. Dark golden color with large white head. A bit hazy, might have some yeast residue in it. Aroma powerful, winey with notes of sherry/madeira. Taste: madeira, wine, alcohol, yeast, liquorice root. Bitterness low.

Pours copper-brown-like, with thick pure white head. Aroma is dried fruity, belgo yeasty, grassy, twiggy and little spicy. Taste is fruity, especially dried fruits appear, resiny. Palate is quite fulland litlle bitter. All in all, very versatile from aroma, but taste is not so many-sided. Easy to drink.
