COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It pours an almost clear body, dark golden in color and topped by a finger-thick, off-white head. A beer trying to escape the bottle on its own. The aroma is malty, almost buttery, with a touch of fruityness blending in. Malty flavor too, with caramel, sweetness and some alcohol. A nice bitterness chimes in towards the end, lasting for a good while. Very lightly warming on the palate, smooth and pleasantly carbonating. Certainly not an unpleasant one, but it’s sure one of the most boring and uninteresting beers from Ama’r, failing big time to lead my thougts to Christmas. 120525

[Thanks to fonefan]. 50cl bottle. Hazy orange colour with a white head with perfect lasting and nice lacework. Aroma is toasted, caramel, toffee, plumbake and sirup. Flavor is slightly sweet, bready, yeasty, red fruits are slightly present. The final is light bittery with an average duration.

500 ml bottle. Dark golden color with large white head. A bit hazy, might have some yeast residue in it. Aroma powerful, winey with notes of sherry/madeira. Taste: madeira, wine, alcohol, yeast, liquorice root. Bitterness low.

Pours copper-brown-like, with thick pure white head. Aroma is dried fruity, belgo yeasty, grassy, twiggy and little spicy. Taste is fruity, especially dried fruits appear, resiny. Palate is quite fulland litlle bitter. All in all, very versatile from aroma, but taste is not so many-sided. Easy to drink.

From a 500ml bottle on 16/12/2012. Pours a cloudy dark golden with a small head. Has a pleasant aroma of caramel, fruit and honey. In the mouth, it’s quite sweet, with light spices (ginger), citrus fruits and berries (particularly raspberries). Has some curious cordial like notes. Medium body and carbonation. Quite enjoyable.

Expected more from this. Rather standard British Strong Ale from Amager. Not much of Christmas about it really. Faint tones of toffee and malt on the nose; similar in taste with some caramel added. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smells a little, taste some. The aftertaste is also left for a while. A pretty mediocre beer. This bottle is number 400th I knew nothing about this beer so I do not say much about it. Not quite good but not entirely bad.

Shared bottle at Cardinal. Pours pale golden with a small white head. Aroma of grain, yeast and fruit. Taste is more of the same, moderate sweet malts, thin and watery palate. Dissapointed christmas beer, too thin and watery.
