COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Ingen krydderier tilsat.

Bottle, at Cardinal. It pours a pale brown body under an off-white head leaving some lacings. Dried fruits, caramel, dark sugars and chocolate in the aroma. Some spiced hints and prunes, and a faint alcohol touch. It’s full-bodied and with a soft carbonation, medium sweet. There’s an ok bitterness in the flavor, along with caramel malts, dark sugar, chocolate, prunes and a spiced hint. Lasting finish. A pretty nice one, working well as a Christmas beer I think. 140726

Dark brown woth brown head. Aroma is sweet, belgian yeast, roasted malts. Taste is sweet and malty, first that strikes me is westmalle :) got a feeling theres the same yeast strain here. A really nice christmas dubbel Dark brown, a little hazy with brown head. Aroma sweet and malty. Taste sweet and malty as weel, a little simple without finesse. Not the best abbey dubbel.

Bottle 50cl from henrik thanks. A dark beer with huge head. Nose is very astringent like, kind of Caulier Bon secours yeast. Aroma is sweet malty, notes of burnt caramel and this Caulier notes I personally don’t like, kind of rotted vine. Not my cup of tea.

50 cl bottle from ølbutikken, 49dkk. clear brown, smoot hlight brown head. Nutty aroma, mild browncakes, some roasted malts - not sweet. flavor is malts, yeasts, notes of fruits, alc. bitterness, caramel. Not quite my idea of a good double, in fact resebles many other danish attempts at the style that failed imo. As for a danish christmas beer it is pretty good and well above the more widely distributed competition - on par with the average widely distributed belgian ones in fact - but sort of not really up to the level where amager normally is. ymmv
