COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Kast mørket af dig, slip gækken løs og byd lyset velkommen! Så enkelt kan budskabet i vores forårs-IPA ”Kåååd” opsummeres. Ikke mange ved dette, men en hel generation af Kobe-kvæg opfodres et hemmeligt sted på Amager med den mask, der bliver til overs fra vores ølproduktion. Da disse - verdens lykkeligste køer - åd masken fra lige netop denne øl, brød de ud i et jubel-muuh så højt, at det kunne høres helt inde på Rådhuspladsen. Køernes efterfølgende forårskåde bukkespring kom op i en højde så stor, at de lykkelige køer forcerede enhver indhegning og fortsatte dybt ind på Kalvebod Fælled. Siden har ingen set dem. Og hvad de laver derinde, kan vi kun gisne om... Men akkurat som Amagers hemmelige – og lykkelige - Kobe-kvæg, vil du kære livsnyder med garanti, bryde ud i spontan forårskååådhed, når du indsniffer den vederkvægende duft af frisk aromahumle, som Kåååd er pakket med. Tillykke med foråret – og gør nu ikke noget, som vi ikke ville have gjort...

Ingredienser: Vand, Malte: Pilsner-, Münchener-, Cara Pils og Melanoidin malt. Humler: Herkules, Tomahawk, Summit, Chinook, Simcoe, Centennial, Amarillo og Cascade. Gær: en amerikansk overgær.

Pours amber with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, citrus, grapefruit and peach. Flavour is caramel, grapefruit, peach and citrus.

Bottled. Slightly hazy yellow color, medium white head. Big aroma of fruity hops, grapefruit, citrus, pine, tropical fruit, bit grassy. A lot of aroma’s, but the main item is fruitiness. Not much from the malt in the aroma. Taste is clean and bitter, dry and crisp. Not the malty backbone you see in a lot of American styled IPAs, but as with their Envy it relies on the dry and crispness from the pilsner malt with some munich. Very nicely balanced, yet powerful low ABV IPA. Lovely.

Bottle @ 2nd tuesday tasting. Awesome label. Pours clear golden with a small, fading white head. Aroma is huge fruity citrus hops and some grapfrut. Taste is some malts, fruity citrus hops with a nice medium bitter finish. Medium body and carbo. A very nicely balanced IPA.

Bottle @ de Molen tasting. Very interesting and funny label. Pours a clear blonde beer with a decent amount of white head. Aroma is very nice and hoppy, grapefruit, vanilla and light flowery. Well balanced aroma. Flavour is nice and bitter with a long aftertaste. Dry citric tones and again the slight touches of vanilla. Very nice IPA.

Bottle at the May De Molen monthly tasting.poured a clear medium amber with a broken white bubbly head. The aroma is grassy and a little floral. The flavour is medium bitter, with all the bitter coming from the hops. The palate is bitter with a hint of spice and the bitterness lingers for quite some time in the finish for a super refreshing beer.

Bottle @ 2nd tuesday tasting. Aroma is awesome fruity piney hop madness. Flavour is quite dry bitterness, fruity and herbal hop notes. A bit too dry.

Bottle @ De Molen’s 2nd tuesday tasting, hosted by dEnk. Clear golden pour, thin white head. Aroma of fruity and floral hops, grapefruit and some pine. Flavor is bitter and very hopped with a nice balance between the hops. Very nice IPA.

[5/2/13] Draught at Søernes Ølbar in Copenhagen. Slightly hazy orange. Great hoppy aroma with tropical fruits. Rather dry flavor with nice bitter fruity hops. Medium-bodied.
