English: Throw off the darkness, make merry and bid the light welcome! That is the simple message in our Spring IPA "Kåååd" (Frisky). Not many people know this, but there is a whole herd of beef cattle being raised in a secret Amager location on the spent grain from our beer production. This cattle herd, surely the happiest in the world, had barely tasted the grain from this very beer, before they let out a celebratory MUUH so loud that it could be heard all the way to downtown Copenhagen. The ensuing merriment in the herd caused a Stampede greater than any seen in Calgary in July. But one thing is for sure: If you, dear hophead, partake of this brew, you will become as frisky as our happy heifers as soon as you catch a whiff of the aromatic hops that we have jam-packed into "Kåååd". Have a merry old spring - and don’t do anything we, or the happy cattle, wouldn’t do...

Ingredienser: Vand, Malte: Pilsner-, Münchener-, Cara Pils og Melanoidin malt. Humler: Herkules, Tomahawk, Summit, Chinook, Simcoe, Centennial, Amarillo og Cascade. Gær: en amerikansk overgær.

Cereal yellow and nice-smelling IPA with the vinousity of a much stronger beer. Not very special apart from the vinousity - quite anonymous.

bottle. Poured hazy pale amber with a thin creamy off white head. Big aroma of fresh citrus hops. Medium bodied, soft carbonation with an acidic bitter end. Flavour is mostly hoppy, herbal and orangey citrus notes with bready pale malts.

500ml bottle. Pours a nearly clear, orange/caramel with a two finger, fluffy, off white head. Aroma has great, juicy notes of pine, resin, orange citrus, and hints of more tropical fruits. Taste is bitter with resin, citrus, herbal/earthy grass, stone fruits, and a piney, bitter aftertaste. Medium body with a low-medium carbonation. Clean in the mouth with a soft carbonation. Overall pretty tasty. Pine, resin, citrus, and an earthyness.

Bottle from Nõmme Comarket (€ 7,11) in Sept 2014. Batch 777, BB 03/2015. Pours hazy, bright orange with big frothy head that retains and laces well. It has a nice fruity and resinous aroma, I get some peach, marzipan, musk, pine... Taste is equally good with resinous bitter and peachy sweet aspects most present. It’s more sweet at first, and citrusy bitter in the finish. Body medium, carbonation minus medium, palate a bit dry. Overall a very good sweet IPA though I kind of expected more. Will probably not buy again.

50 CL bottle "Amager Modern Ipa". Fruity and hoppy smell. Excellent mouthfill with the color of red gold. Taste is hops, pine with a peculiar but lovely touch of liquorice. An outmost fantastic beer to drink slowly while relaxing.

Bottle to tulip Orange rind, grapefruit, tropical fruit, caramel, and a little pepper and spruce aromatics. It pours a translucent golden amber with lots of effervescence and a creamy and frothy 1 cm off white head. Sweet fruitiness to begin with, malt notes come next, ending with a heavy orange rind bitterness.

Note aussi un profil houblonné de pellettes.
