English: Throw off the darkness, make merry and bid the light welcome! That is the simple message in our Spring IPA "Kåååd" (Frisky). Not many people know this, but there is a whole herd of beef cattle being raised in a secret Amager location on the spent grain from our beer production. This cattle herd, surely the happiest in the world, had barely tasted the grain from this very beer, before they let out a celebratory MUUH so loud that it could be heard all the way to downtown Copenhagen. The ensuing merriment in the herd caused a Stampede greater than any seen in Calgary in July. But one thing is for sure: If you, dear hophead, partake of this brew, you will become as frisky as our happy heifers as soon as you catch a whiff of the aromatic hops that we have jam-packed into "Kåååd". Have a merry old spring - and don’t do anything we, or the happy cattle, wouldn’t do...

Ingredienser: Vand, Malte: Pilsner-, Münchener-, Cara Pils og Melanoidin malt. Humler: Herkules, Tomahawk, Summit, Chinook, Simcoe, Centennial, Amarillo og Cascade. Gær: en amerikansk overgær.

A true gem of a find and gift from Simon L. This beer is crafty and for a Spring IPA extremely smooth, drinkable and it has a long breath of taste. In the world of beers the frisky is hoppy and well well rounded. What a beer!

Took it as Modern IPA. Slightly hazy orange color with medium white head. Aroma has pineapple, pine, and solightly citrus fruits with a good resin backbone. Taste follows the aroma, but is much more intense, with piney and pineapplely characteristics, with some citrus and, again resin. Really easy drinking and well balanced, with a moderate strong bitter finish.

Pours amber with a large, fading head. Nose shows piny, grassy and resinous hops with a hint of fruit and some sweet clean malt. Clean flavours, lots of pine and resinous hops, some soft clean malt and an aggressive bitterness.

Appearance: golden nearly clear color, nice white head, very good lacing. Aroma: citrus, white fruits, lychee, and a bit caramel. Taste: Very nice bitterness with earthy and leather aftertaste. Mainly I can feel pine resin, herbs and lychee which add some sweetness to overall taste, hoppy grapefriut aftertaste with earthy finnish . Palete ballanced thanks to US hops and melanodil malt. Beer is smooth, semi-dry/dry, medium carbonated and drinkable with very noticible bitterness. It is propably one of the best IPA’s I have ever tasted.

(Amager Kåååd) Bottle 500 ml at home, served into a tulip, ABV 6% Golden orange colour on the body, small but thick white head on top. Average retention. Aroma of caramel, orange, marmalade. Taste is nicely bitter, with hops, orange peel, light tangerine, more citrus fruits, grass, lemon flowers. Medium body, carbonation on good levels. Quite dry on the palate. Pretty good.
