English: Throw off the darkness, make merry and bid the light welcome! That is the simple message in our Spring IPA "Kåååd" (Frisky). Not many people know this, but there is a whole herd of beef cattle being raised in a secret Amager location on the spent grain from our beer production. This cattle herd, surely the happiest in the world, had barely tasted the grain from this very beer, before they let out a celebratory MUUH so loud that it could be heard all the way to downtown Copenhagen. The ensuing merriment in the herd caused a Stampede greater than any seen in Calgary in July. But one thing is for sure: If you, dear hophead, partake of this brew, you will become as frisky as our happy heifers as soon as you catch a whiff of the aromatic hops that we have jam-packed into "Kåååd". Have a merry old spring - and don’t do anything we, or the happy cattle, wouldn’t do...

Ingredienser: Vand, Malte: Pilsner-, Münchener-, Cara Pils og Melanoidin malt. Humler: Herkules, Tomahawk, Summit, Chinook, Simcoe, Centennial, Amarillo og Cascade. Gær: en amerikansk overgær.

1/2 a liter bottle at the Hoppy imp. in Greece, purchased middle Sept 2015. Pours orange skin cloudy color with a crazy off-white head which stays forever. Nose: blast of piney hops, grapefruit, some tropical. Pretty clean. Mouth: a bit less cara would have been better, anyway clean enough, very dry, herbal bitterness, easy drinking. Meets expectations.

Pours haze orange-amber, with foamy white head. Aroma without note of an alcohol and with hints of biscuit, and with floral fruity elements. Flavor is because of use melanoidin mouthfeel, fullness, with caramel like sweetness and hints of tropical fruits. Malt sweetness is medium, hop bitterness is medium. Body is sticky, carbonation is low, finish slightly dry sweet. Very proper ipa!

Botlle. Golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish aroma, some caramel and tropical fruitiness, some piney/citrus hoppyness. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, light - some caramel and some tropical - light floral fruitiness with some piney/citrus hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, light - some caramel, some tropical/floral fruitiness with piney - some citrus hoppyness. Well hopped IPA with floral fruitiness – not too much caramel/not too sweet. OK but lacks character.

A true gem of a find and gift from Simon L. This beer is crafty and for a Spring IPA extremely smooth, drinkable and it has a long breath of taste. In the world of beers the frisky is hoppy and well well rounded. What a beer!
