COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Throw off the darkness, make merry and bid the light welcome! That is the simple message in our Spring IPA "Kåååd" (Frisky). Not many people know this, but there is a whole herd of beef cattle being raised in a secret Amager location on the spent grain from our beer production. This cattle herd, surely the happiest in the world, had barely tasted the grain from this very beer, before they let out a celebratory MUUH so loud that it could be heard all the way to downtown Copenhagen. The ensuing merriment in the herd caused a Stampede greater than any seen in Calgary in July. But one thing is for sure: If you, dear hophead, partake of this brew, you will become as frisky as our happy heifers as soon as you catch a whiff of the aromatic hops that we have jam-packed into "Kåååd". Have a merry old spring - and don’t do anything we, or the happy cattle, wouldn’t do...

Ingredienser: Vand, Malte: Pilsner-, Münchener-, Cara Pils og Melanoidin malt. Humler: Herkules, Tomahawk, Summit, Chinook, Simcoe, Centennial, Amarillo og Cascade. Gær: en amerikansk overgær.

(Keg at Ølhus Stockholm, 20150516) The beer poured deep amber and almost clear. Its head was fruitiness, tangerine and citricness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, tangerine, malts, grapefruit and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A good very fruity brew.

Bottle from SlackerMads during European Swap 2/15, many thanks. Orang/copper with an foamy white head. Aroma with a lots of hops. Mainly notes of pine, pink grapefruits, citrus peel and herbs. Flavor is complex hoppy with fruity notes of tropical fruits, pineapple, lychee, pine and resin, rough herbal hops and herbal bitterness. Good, but I am not a fan of such a intensive herbal bitterness.

Semi-opaque amber, medium white head. Fruity, malty aroma. Medium body, balanced bitterness. Finishes bitter but good. Overall nice, but batch 1000 takes the cake.

On tap at Henrik Øl og Vinstove, pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. Nose brings out piney hops and crackery malt. Flavour is quite dry, with crackery malt and astringent piney hops. Quite dry and astringent. It’s pretty solid but I don’t get why this has such high ratings.

A murky dark copper pour with a white head. Very very strong hop aroma. Upfront bitterness that is lasting and then peaks again in the finish.
