English: Throw off the darkness, make merry and bid the light welcome! That is the simple message in our Spring IPA "Kåååd" (Frisky). Not many people know this, but there is a whole herd of beef cattle being raised in a secret Amager location on the spent grain from our beer production. This cattle herd, surely the happiest in the world, had barely tasted the grain from this very beer, before they let out a celebratory MUUH so loud that it could be heard all the way to downtown Copenhagen. The ensuing merriment in the herd caused a Stampede greater than any seen in Calgary in July. But one thing is for sure: If you, dear hophead, partake of this brew, you will become as frisky as our happy heifers as soon as you catch a whiff of the aromatic hops that we have jam-packed into "Kåååd". Have a merry old spring - and don’t do anything we, or the happy cattle, wouldn’t do...

Ingredienser: Vand, Malte: Pilsner-, Münchener-, Cara Pils og Melanoidin malt. Humler: Herkules, Tomahawk, Summit, Chinook, Simcoe, Centennial, Amarillo og Cascade. Gær: en amerikansk overgær.

Pours with a small white head. Hoppy aroma and taste with hints of citrus and pineapple, great level of bitterness. Great body with some malt behind the hops. Would like to raise the alcohol to about 6.5 to make it prefect! (Bottle of "swedish" version modern ipa)

Golden color with moderate foam. Flowery hoppy bitter smell. The taste is mainly painful in the aftertaste. Bitterness on the first sip, a whole lot of why-did-i-drank-that on the second. Probably infected (or a really weird choice by the brewers).

On tap at Erzbierschof. Nice deep oange color with big white head. Citrus fruits, marmalade, pines. Taste is heavily bitter, lots of bitter oranges, and a slightly metallic finish. The aftertaste is hard... Still fine, but on the very bitter side.

Bottle. Orange, little hazy with medium white head. Low lacing, medium lasting. The aroma is mainly piney, resin with quite noticable malty profile (biscuits, crackers). Taste is bitter orange peel, bitterness is medium, also some piney and floral flavours. Medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and hoppy. Overall solid IPA - not so bitter and well balanced. Quite good drinkable.

Stupidly left by me in the back of the cellar for a few months! At least it was stored dark and cold. Lightly hazy gold beer, small off white head. Palate is airy with mild fine carbonation. Light and semi sweet creamy malts. Pithy orange hops that also bring marmalade and a little floralness. Light crisp finish. Good stuff but I bet it was a cracker when fresh.

Very crisp and refreshing. A bit estery and soapy but it goes well altogether. Delicate carbonation and medium density mouth feel. Nothing to fancy but light IPAs are what I prefer over tarty ones.
