Draught at Nørrebro Bryghus on 5th Birthday Party, Ryesgade 3, 2200 Copenhagen, Denmark. Clear medium to dark red black color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee, licorice light notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 110908

On tap at Nørrebro’s 5 year anniversary. A clear-looking beer, very dark brown, topped by a beige head. Dried fruits, lots of coffee and a little herbal hop-touch in the aroma. Malty flavor with a little note of DMS, quite fruity too. Dried fruits that is. And of course, coffee, chocolate and burnt malts, coming strong after a half second or so. Full body with a nice carbonation level. Coffee, burnt malt and chocolate in the finish. A quite pleasant coffee-stout, but it has some strange notes. Delicate coffee profile. (080911)

(On tap) Pours an almost opaque black with a vague orangey hue and a tiny, beige head. Aroma primarily of sweetish burned malt. Medium body, sweet roasted malt, lightly ashy with distinct coffee accents. Burned malt bitter finish. 110908

Draught at the Birthday celebration at Nørrebro Bryghus. Ruby-brown body topped by some thin, off-white patches. Hints of chocolate to the nose. Blended taste of coffee beans and dark chocolate. Dry ending. A bit disappointing…(Copenhagen, 11.09.2008)

Black with a lasting off-white head. Aroma has grainy malt, with roasted notes and chocolate. There is a subtle note of coffee bean aroma, not espresso, ashtray and cold coffee, but freshly ground coffee beans. I like that! Fruity dry flavour with roast notes of chocolate and coffee.

Draught at the birthday party. Almost black, small coarse head. Grainy dry aroma, very little coffee or anything else. Softly burned flavor has menthol, coffee and fishermans friends. Medium bodied, smooth carbonation. Strangely empty aroma.
