Editor’s note: A festival special at the Copenhagen Beer Festival 2009.
Danish: Onde tunger påstår, at den ene halvdel af Amager Bryghus, Morten Valentin Lundsbak også kendt som ”Lunde”, tidligt om morgenen ligner noget, der er faldet ned fra månen. Faktisk er han så ømt et syn, at denne voldsomme American style Barley Wine måtte opkaldes efter ham. Drik den i rigelige mængder, knib øjnene sammen og kig på Morten – så forstår du straks alt! Tørhumlet med rigelige mængder Cascade.

Copenhagen beer festival. Cloudy brown beer. Sweet with a lot of floral notes. Dry finish. Slips down very easy.

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Dim, dark orange body with a big, creamy tan head. Aroma is sweet malt but dominated by peaches and a hint of alcohol. Flavor is sweet malt, citric fruit, brown sugar and a sharp bitterness. Long, bitter and warming alcoholic finish. Balanced, smooth and complex, had to have tree samples of this one.

Draught. Dark amber colouered. Dense brown head. ARoma of fruits, ligth caramel, sweetness, herbs and flowers. Flavour as well full of fruits. Spice, sweetness, flowers, alcohol, caramel and some citrus. Medium to full bodied. Dry fruity bitterness in the end. Somewhat grapy as well.

On tap. Hazy orange with a creamy off white head. The aroma is lots of fruit, ripe fruit, hops, barley and caramel. The flavour is barley, sweet caramel, hops, lots of fruit and some warming alcohol. Complex and smooth. Creamy textured. Long sweet fruity finish. Great!

Draft at DBF 2010. Cloudy brown with a beige head, nice lacings. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, sweet fruits) and hoppy (citrus). Flavor heavy sweet, light to moderate bitter. Full body.
