500 ml. bottle from Papsoe. Thanks Henrik! This one pours very dark brown with a frothy brown head. The aroma is intense with smoke, salty soy sauce, earth, raisinettes, and chocolate. Kind of an odd note in the nose that I can’t put my finger on. Very savory. The flavor is dark chocolate, salt and pepper, leather, worchestershire, smoke, raisins, cola, coffee and ash in the finish. This isn’t a smoked beer and doesn’t taste like it, but the savoriness is off the charts. Very intense. The body is full, but not thick or cloying. Lot’s of flavor in this one.

Draft. Pours black with a minimal and lasting tan head. Aroma is heavy with coffee, dark malts, licorice, hops, dark chocolate, burnt malt, vanilla, cocoa. Taste is medium+ sweet, medium+ bitter. Body is medium+, texture is oily, carbonation is near high. Finishes astringent with hard roasted malt, some licorice and a little warming alcohol. The weasel really softens up Mr. Frederiksen, but the finish is still somewhat harsh.
