3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma is full of cognac, oak and roasted malt. The flavor is similar with some chocolate and roasted malt, as well as a good dose of oak. The cognac notes are less noticeable in the flavor but they are still present. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
0.5l bottle from #316. This is a deep dark brown one, almost black in the glass with a nice medium sized heavy lacing brown with. Loaded with sweetness and cognac on the nose. Lots if dark light oak and smoky aromas. Deep roasted, lots if chocolate and definitely wood. The cognac is the main player in this aroma though. Quite lovely. Really flavorful and tasty this. After the first sip I just want another one right away. It’s about average on the carbonation and it has a oily mouthfeel. Deep dry roasted flavors, a bit of prickling alcohol and subtle smoky tones at first. The cognac is more subtle in the taste actually, but I get some sweet cognac wood-like notes in the back of the throat. Ends with chocolate a deep more dark roasted flavor in the finish and a aftertaste that can be best described as light peated. Yeah, this is really tasty. 17.05.2013

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of and great thx to Papsoe for sending me a bunch of Amager beers to celebrate my 5K milestone. Black coloured, medium sized brownish head, smoked bacon in the nose. Heavy roasted malt, chocolate, smoked bacon and light alcoholic with no real cognac character. Another nice from Amager but expected more.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2013 Batch 316. Another one I never thought I’d try... wow! Anyway, poured a very very dark brown/black body with a small white head. Hmmm... Smokey aroma, smoked bacon really, salty, with some dark malt. Dry smoked bacon taste as well, the barrel not leaving that huge an impact... Call me a heretic, a heathen, but I didn’t like this one as much as I thought I would. It’s a good beer, but for some reason I found it slightly... hmm... simpler than I thought it would be. Yeah, I suck. Really glad I tried it though!
