COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Keg at Mikkeller & Friends - Copenhagen. Pours black-brown with a creamy, beige head. The nose holds burnt wood, dried and leathery dark fruits, light dusty cocoa. Light to medium sweet flavor with nice bittersweet chocolate, some further leather, raisins, dirt. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and creamy texture. Dry and roasty to finish, with more bitter chocolate and old raspberries. Tasty.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle at my pre-BTBF tasting. Drank alongside the Cognac version. Dark brown pour with a brown head. The aroma is full of chocolate and anise. The flavor has some anise and chocolate up front as well as some ash, roasted malt and soy. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

24/05 A 0.5 l bottle, ogivlado’s, great thanks for sharing! It poured hazy, very dark brown body with medium sized brownish head. Spicy roasted malt aroma, some chicory, coffee, licorice and little bit of smoked ham. Flavor was lightly sweet, more so acidic with peaty notes, some honey and coffee. Smoked plastic ruins it a bit, but not much. Medium bodied, with alcohol extremely well handled, quite smooth despite this being a porter. Finish was long with coffee, ripe dark fruits and wood remaining longest. Really a nice porter.
