COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English (from Google translate): Take a good thing and makes it even better - it is the philosophy behind the Amager MurpHill. The good thing is our more than solid Amager Rye Porter, which we have poured in bourbon casks. Here it has been around 6 months, which has turned an already soft rye porter with pleasant hints of vanilla, wood, and of course warm bourbon. If you wonder about the name, we can reveal that this beer is named after two of the most talented American brewers Shaun Hill and Mike Murphy, who with their presence in this country has enriched Danish brewing culture in incredible degree. Shaun and Mike is the mastermind behind our Rye Porter / MurpHill project, and it is with absolute pride that this beer is named in their honor

Draught @ Ølfestival Valby - CBF09, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Clear dark red brown color with a average, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, caramel, wood, alcohol - bourboun, dark berry. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20090516]

Drunk to celebrate my rating number 20,500 - a tribute to four great friends in the beer world: Mike, Shaun, Jacob, and Morten. A black beer with a huge dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, roasted malt, and oats. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, oats, alcohol, and chocolate, as well as lighter notes of bourbon, leading to a dry, bitter, and roasted finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a tall and dense light brown head that gets creamy and cappuchino-like when it slowly dissipates. Hard roasted malts in the nose but also salt, vanilla and wood. Quite full-bodied with lots of burned malt - a little raw and harsh perhaps. Very salty and minerally, cough syrup and soy. Burned malty bitter finish with the Bourbon notes being surprisingly subdued. 220609

CBF09. From tap. Dry and roasted malt, light wooden touch in the aroma. Roasted and dark chocolate malt flavoured. Nice acidity with a lasting roasted malt base. Bitter, yet smooth and roasted malt flavoured. Smooth chocolate and light vanilla to light wooden note. Dark chocolate as lasting impression with a light vanilla note. The bourbon barrel aging did change the base beer, I still find the original more complex - this becomes too vanilla wooden.

Bottled@Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Quite much pitch black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown coloured head. Some lace. Aroma is rye bread, coffee, roasted malts, some dark dry fruits as well as dry wooden notes. Flavour is quite the same, but a bit sweeter than the aroma. Mild ashyness as welll as vanilla, when it gets a bit warmer.
