COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English (from Google translate): Take a good thing and makes it even better - it is the philosophy behind the Amager MurpHill. The good thing is our more than solid Amager Rye Porter, which we have poured in bourbon casks. Here it has been around 6 months, which has turned an already soft rye porter with pleasant hints of vanilla, wood, and of course warm bourbon. If you wonder about the name, we can reveal that this beer is named after two of the most talented American brewers Shaun Hill and Mike Murphy, who with their presence in this country has enriched Danish brewing culture in incredible degree. Shaun and Mike is the mastermind behind our Rye Porter / MurpHill project, and it is with absolute pride that this beer is named in their honor

Opaque black beer. Smooth silky palate. Intense woody and sour whisky balances. No smoke or peat though. A little lightly roasted malt comes through and a touch of hop bitterness. Smooth, sumptuous and tasty.

500. Thanks Rene! Pours jet black with a dense and creamy dark tan head. Heavy sheets of lace coming down the side of the glass. Big bourbony nose, sweet and vanillin. Sharp bitey oak there too. Creamy medium body, velvety and coating. Roasty, dark peppery spicy rye, vanilla, oak, and chocolate on the mid palate. Interesting combination. Long peppery finish.

Shared by my man Phredrik. Pitch black, medium brown head. Aroma has coconut, bourbon, vanilla, fairly strong coffee and some chocolate, dark fruits, raisins and figs. Taste is very bitter with all the good roaoted notes one would expect. Very nicely dry in the finish.

Bottle courtesy of Papsoe, Thanks Henrik! This beer pours a very dark brown with a generous tan head. The flavor is of toasted malts, vanilla, some dark chocolate and a touch of licorice. It has a creamy mouthfeel; it’s complex, yet very drinkable, an excellent beer.

A long time want and then it sits on the shelf in the De Molen beer shop. Shared in the hotel room after BBF with Travlr, Holy and mah boys. Black pour with a nice brown head. Aroma has lots of bourbon, vanilla and coconut, but without being alcoholic, coffee, dark chocolate, wet wood, dark fruits, the bourbon blends in very well. Taste is very bourbony, coffe, oak, chocolate, a bit more boozy than the aroma, brownie, liquorice, wet wood. It’s clearly bourbon barrel aged, but has mellowed out very well. Lovely. Glad I got to try this one.
