COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours dirty, dark brown with a few bubbles sitting on top. Nose is quite sweet, with vinous notes and loads of fig and sticky date. Oats sit behind it all. Quite appealing but nothing overly exciting about it. Very sweet to start with and gradually gets sweeter before it quickly tapers off to a soft, short bitterness. Sticky but thin mouth feel. Not very boozy for the 9% abv. Sticky date and chocolate port tones surround the mouth. Mouth gets coated with a dryness. Not bad but nothing wows me, solid

Smooth and roasted body at first which then goes over into a more watered down version. A lot of roasted character to it.

Roasty and sweet. Great flavor and finish. Not as much character as some others I’ve had tonight, but pretty good.

Bottle @ Rene’s house, courtesy of Rasmus40. Thanks a bunch! Deep brown appearance with a dark brown head. Rich licorice/anise, vinous, chocolate, light dusty aroma. Intense, grape fruity, very rich, chocolate, licorice, a touch smoky, somewhat boozy flavor. The port/vinous flavor is a bit awkward with the roasty chocolate, licorice notes.
