COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

31-MAR-2012, bottle @home, from "Amager Bryghus". Very dark brown, almost black with lasting beige head that coats the glass. Roast, port, smooth oat-caracter. Taste is wine-like roast. Soy, salty, long malty bitter finish. Extremely creamy, very long malty and boozy finish. Love this. Like a tutty-fruity-candy-thing, just dark and bitter, and sweet, and everchanging. Well done, Amager:-)

Bottle, bought @ Fish’n’Beer, Cph.
Completely black with a lovely, firm creamy beige head. Lovely duration. Aroma has nice chocolate, some slightly harsh tobacco, lots of oak, port, sweet grainy oats. Salmiak liqourice and vinious. Low carbonation, fat and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has quite a lots of salmiak (ammonia), light salty, fat grainy dark chocolate, warming. Good oak and port overall, but perhaps the barrel aging is a bit excessive?

375ml bottle. Pours pitch black, with a thick brown head. Dense, complex aroma, lots of roasted malt, toffee, caramel, hops, wood, vanilla, dried fruits, nuts, spices, tobacco, prunes. Semi-sweet, full bodied, high bitterness, creamy CO2. Compact taste, heavily roasted, malty, chocolate, espresso beans, licorice, tobacco, smoke, wood, vanilla, ashes, prunes, spices, cinnamon. Very smooth and well balanced, the sweetish Port character helps to mellow the tannins out. Sweet! (2012-03-18)
