COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0 cl bottle from Amager Bryghus; Batch 616; BBD: May 2014) Pours a semi-clear golden with rich, white head. Good retention and beautiful lace. Good regeneration. Aroma has notes of citrus, pine and dill. Oily texture, medium carbonation, medium body and a dry, astringent finish. Flavour is moderately hoppy bitterness, quite dry with little sweetness. Pleasant DIPA. (Re-rated on August 2nd 2012; Blind tasting of five different, hoppy Amager beers; Batch 476; BBD: August 2013) Pours a clear golden with rich, white head. Good retention. Aroma has notes of citrus and pine. Rounded and well balanced taste. Aroma: 10; App: 5; Taste: 9; Pal: 5; Overall: 18 (50 cl bottle from Toft Vin, batch 412, BBD: Feb’ 2013) For me spring came early this year with a new batch of the wookie. Pours a slightly hazy golden with finger thick, white head. Good retention and lace. Aroma is this intensely pleasant mix of fir and fruit punch with lemony notes. Thick and rich on the palate, medium carbonation and full body with a long hoppy aftertaste. Taste is moderately bitter balanced off by the malt body that is pleasantly masked by the fruity hoppy aroma. Original rating on April 30th 2011 - (50 cl bottle from Amager Bryghus, batch 350) Pours a marginally hazy golden apricot with medium, white head that laces the glass heavily. Rich and extremely pleasant floral, hoppy aroma with well balanced notes of passion fruit and grass. Hits the palate with soft carbonation and a rich almost creamy texture and a long bitter finish. Taste is full-bodied with notes of bitterness but very pleasantly so and richly complemented by floral and fruity notes. This was my first encounter with the Citra hop, but certainly not the last. (Aroma: 10; App: 5; Taste: 10; Palate: 5; Overall: 18)

Fuck, sorachi ace. That’s it, that’s the aroma, and I hate it. Full palate, smooth, sweet, slick, and a little sticky, but who cares, because I’ve just realised how awful this tastes. Yucky sorachi ace everywhere. Sweet, and that makes it feel boozier than it is. Finish is agressively tongue-drying. Ugh, probably the worst hoppy beer these guys have ever made. Sorachi ace sucks.
