4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
From a 500ml bottle on 9/10/2012. Pours a light, slightly murky golden with a medium head. Certainly doesn’t look much like an IPA in the glass. The aroma is quite pleasant and sweet, with floral and fruity notes (passionfruit and lychee), and a little fairy floss. The flavour is really big - lots of sweet sweet orange and some light caramel are set off against lemon, grapefruit and peel. The bitterness is really intense, with a herbal, resiny, piney, slightly salty hop finish which seems to linger forever. The body is medium. This is a cracking, quite distinctive IPA. The only vague reference point I have is the old recipe BrewDog Punk IPA, but this is more intense still. The bitterness will be too much for some, but this is a must try for any hop head.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells impossibly sweet with thick caramel aroma accentuated by the selection of hops used. Flavour is very bitter up front giving way to a deep caramel flavored wort. Great example of a double ipa.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Hazy pale golden with a white head. Hoppy, tropical fruity and citrusy aroma, also a faint hint of cheese? Hoppy and bitter flavor with notes of grape, citrus-peel, grass, soap, wood, a bit salty, astringent bitter & dry finish. I want more fruitiness and a bit less bitterness.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
50cl bottle pours a clear, light orange with one ring of white head. Nose has bright citrus, light honey, earthy, orange, pine needles, a little yeast. Flavor is sweet, lemon, orange, light grapefruit, light malt, a little bread. Medium bodied, dry, citrus finish. I thought this had Port IPA written all over it. Good collaboration.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml Bottle - Amber with a slight haze and a foamy head. Mango, grapefruit, lemon and a hint of ginger in the aroma. Hoppy taste with notes peach, grapefruit, toffee and pineapple. Quite nice, but it could do with a bit more balance as the bitterness is a bit overwhelming.
