This one seems good for #1900! I was told this was from Papsoe. Props bro! This poured a murky brown color with very little head. The aroma contains some butterscotch, caramel, toffee on the frosted side, quite a bit of citrus on the unfrosted side. The flavor contains alot of stuff as well. Malt wise brown sugar, caramel, and toffee. On the hop side we get a ton of citrus like oranges, lemons, and grapefruit. A big ’ol beer right here. May have been a LITTLE overdone with 23 hops but a nice beer regardless.

Cuivrée devenant trouble sur une lie bien épaisse, col est crémeux et épais allant vers le café au lait.
Arôme offre un bouquet bien houblonné, note de levure renfermée avec ce léger côté cave, malt en retrait laissant plus la place à des houblons alternant fruité tropical, herbacé.
En bouche, un alcool réchauffant se mêle à une palette de 23 houblons. On y retrouve un mélange intéressant d’épicé, de fruité tropical allant vers le pamplemousse/mangue, le citronné et l’herbacé plus amer. Le palais reste sec avec une note maltée surfant sur le grillé/caramel. Le tout reste assez liquoreux pour un fini donnant un côté collant sur les lèvres.

Aroma has exotic fruits, some resin and vanilla. Flavour is rather hoppy with exotic fruits, some raspberries and vanilla. Rather nice hoppiness even though the bottle was two years old. Probably would have been even better as fresh.

Hazy brown color with medium off-white head. Bitter and a little too much alcohol teams, missing ballance.

Bottle. Dark amber, hazy, average and mostly lasting light brown head. Moderate malty and sweetish aroma, some fruitiness and caramel, faint citrus hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, faint fruitiness and hoppyness, alcohol. Finish is average, malty and dryish, faint hoppyness and fruitiness, alcohol. Best before 6/2011 – almost no hoppyness in the flavor, flavor/finish is quite flat with lots of alcohol.

Bottle:
2009: Big off white light beige vast but fluffy head on top of a deep deep murky diarrhea colored beer.
Smell is a stinking mess off sweat, sweat socks, citric, high penetrant smell, hops, herbs, hints of bark, lime and alcohol.
Taste is a mix of herbs, hops, bitter, caramel, light citrussy, nuts and toasted wood.
Pretty long and full bitter aftertaste.
Low carbo, full body, soft mouthfeel and light oily texture.
A burp after drinking this beer tastes like a rotten ipa.
This one should have been drunk fresh.

Interessanter hopfiger, eher dunkel gehaltener Antrunk. Wenig grasig, trotz der Dominanz des Hopfen drückt das Malz ziemlich stark, damit grenzt es den Hopfen allerdings auch notwendigerweise ein. Dunkel, dennoch bleibt das Bier zwingend hopfig. Aromatisch, wenig schatrf. Der Hopfen ist zwar ausgeprägt, düe die anzahel der Sorten aber erstaunlich wenig ausgeprägt. Etwas seifig. Ein insgesamt interesantes IPA, das vielfältig ist, sich aber deuttich vo Malz prägen lässt. 11/10/9/10/10/10

Pours a dark reddish brown colour with a thick, lacy, white head. Aroma of sweet fruits, especially raspberries with some hop notes. Flavour of surprisingly strong and smooth hops, caramel malts, mild spices and some floral notes. Medium bodied with sticky mouthfeel and a dry, hoppy, crispy finish. After two years and BBE quite near this is still in great shape.

Bottle 50 cl from www.erzbierschof.ch. Red garnet dress, ochre beige foam compact and drawing to the glass. Nose bitter-sweetened, bitter orange jam, hop, mercurochrome. The taste is syrupy of barley wine, very hoppy, bitterness of citrus, among others, dominant. With 23 sorts of hops, notes are sappy, pine, grass (tall grass!), rancid oil and resin. Also alcohol, apricot, toffy and cinnamon that hop does not kill. Drinkable but limits exaggeration, anesthesic. You said "hop" ?

(Bottle) Dark amber colour, slightly hazy, with lasting beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of grapefruit, caramel, treacle, gooseberries, citrus peel, loads of hops and a whiff of alcohol. Malty, hoppy taste with caramel, treacle, orange peel, grapefruit, dried apricots, pine needles, resin and loads of citric, earthy hops in a long, bitter finish. Almost full body, fairly sweet with hints of alcohol shining through the heavy hop veil. Not very subtle and not necessarily balanced, but a very nice IIPA with an impressive hop presence.
