COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

500ml bottle. My first beer from Amager and what a beer it is with a great orange colour and a big malty caramel aroma. Sits in the mouth well and the alcohol warmth spreads quickly like a bush fire. The flavour seems to go on and on and on.

On guest tap at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. From Amagerbro Island Copenhagen. Floral aromas, poured a bit amber colour, good depth of flavour but not too much bitterness.

On tap at Monk’s Porterhouse, Stockholm. Slightly hazy copper colour, off white head. Aroma of blood oranges, citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruits, medium sweet, malts. Flavour is very nice sweet juicy and fruity, lots of tropical fruits, oranges, citrus, earthy hoppy bitter finish. Medium to fullbodied, almost slick mouthfeel. Excellent stuff.

Bottle. Slightly hazy orange body. Very complex, intense aroma, perhaps a bit too much. Taste is overwhelming. Incredibly fresh ipa, grapefruit, citrus but also strawberry fruits. Perfect hoppiness, mouthfeel and aftertaste

09-SEP-2011, bottle @home from "Fish & Beer". Amber, almost clear but with a touch of fine sediments. Lasting beige head, nice. Nose is extreme. Bitter, sweat’y, chees’y, hoppy. Taste is hoppy bitter. Brutal... Caramel and bread backs up the hops. Again fantastic experiment from the locals:)

Bottle: Batch 364: Medium slow disappearing off white head on top of a hazy darker orange colored beer. The smell is a bit strange with puke, grapefruit, sharper hops, sharper nettle, citrus, light soap, light barley and lighter liquorice (wood). Taste is a marvellous mix of hops, citrus, sharper hops, some earth tones, sharper grains, lots of citrus, just really good and tasty balanced. This all turns away and gets easy taken over by a hoppy bitter floral mix with red fruit that reminds me of strawberry. All very light, very balanced and very tasty! Medium bitter grassy red fruity balanced aftertaste. Low carbo, light tingly mouthfeel, full body, creamy texture. This one was not even that fresh, but still really tasty (and fresh). Could this one beat Pliny the Younger?

UPDATED: OCT 28, 2012 Bottle batch 364. Clear but heavy. Little white foam, light orange colour. Taste is bitter, mean bitter. Cheese, pine, peachy, even a bit balsamic, aroma sits in your mouth and doesn’t leave easily. 9% Alc, I had it before dinner and I forgot to eat. Actually, that was my dinner. Must drink.

Draught @ Ølfestival København 2011.
Pours a beautiful dark copper colour with a small, patchy white head. Aroma of strong caramel malts, lovely hops and pine needles. Flavour of smooth, crispy, floral hops, caramel, pine needles and some citrus. Full bodied with a thick mouthfeel and a fruity, hoppy, piney finish. Great.

Luktar väldigt syrligt. Lite sur och syrlig som blommar ut i en fin beskhet. Besk eftersmak.

0.5l bottle from #364 bought at Barley Wine. This is a cloudy deep copper-peachy beer with a medium sized bubbly and lacing beige head. My god this is a fruity and peachy hop-aroma! Almost like peach ice tea! Lots and lots of fruity hops with citrus, raspberries, clear apricots (something I often have trouble finding in these kind of beers) and a thick sweet malty thing binding it all together. Really nice! The taste is just as good as the aroma lead to beleive. It’s almost licorice-sweet from all the malts. It’s thick and has a heavy oily texture, and the carbonation level is just perfect. Stingy and hoppy with clear references to red light acidic fruits, and that licorice thing is just so damn present in this one! One amazing brew! 05.07.2012
