COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Very cloudy light brown body with off white, firm head. Very interesting aroma, sweet ’n sour candy, grapefruit skin, conifer, sharp spices and muesli. Very different and nice. Taste is equally deviating from the IIPA standards, delivering a backup fruit-based sourness to the hops that are dark rather than fresh. This taste culminates into a sort of bitter licorice explosion. Just enough carbonation to prevent this beer from getting sticky. Not an easy beer for sure, but I think I like it. (50cl bottle, expensive here)

Bottled: Pours clear amber with a small off-white head. Fair lacing. Nose of ciitrus, grape fruit, peach and pine, along with caramel notes. Sweet flavor with lots of hop character and a nice malty backbone too. Full bodied, creamy to oily texture and soft carbonation. Dry bitter finish. An exceptionel imp. IPA.

Countbeer (1933) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAR 25, 2012
Bottle: Batch 364: Medium slow disappearing off white head on top of a hazy darker orange colored beer. The smell is a bit strange with puke, grapefruit, sharper hops, sharper nettle, citrus, light soap, light barley and lighter liquorice (wood). Taste is a marvellous mix of hops, citrus, sharper hops, some earth tones, sharper grains, lots of citrus, just really good and tasty balanced. This all turns away and gets easy taken over by a hoppy bitter floral mix with red fruit that reminds me of strawberry. All very light, very balanced and very tasty! Medium bitter grassy red fruity balanced aftertaste. Low carbo, light tingly mouthfeel, full body, creamy texture. This one was not even that fresh, but still really tasty (and fresh). Could this one beat Pliny the Younger?

Bottle. Slightly hazy orange body. Very complex, intense aroma, perhaps a bit too much. Taste is overwhelming. Incredibly fresh ipa, grapefruit, citrus but also strawberry fruits. Perfect hoppiness, mouthfeel and aftertaste

Bottle in sommerhuset. Pours a pale amber with an off-white head. Exxxtremely bitter with loads of hops aromas. Apart for the hops exxxplosion, you can spot notes of earth and English liquorish. Also fresh hay and grass and hints of resin and grass. Kinda over the top on the hops :-)
