COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Dark amber colored beer. The smell and taste were a disappointment for me. Smelled too much coffee. Carbo firm and medium to full body were nice though.

(Bottle 50 cl @ Traktørstedet, Batch 189, Best before Dec 2010) This is not really a fair review of the beer as the bottle I received had expired 7 months ago and I imagine that is not the best condition for a beer based so much on hop freshness as this one. I will strive to review a fresh version of the beer as soon as possible. Pours a hazy amber with a medium, off-white head that laces the glass. The aroma is malty floral with strong hints of lemon. The taste bears witness to the heavy malt profile but the hop bitterness has lost much of its character due to the age of the beer. The brew has some sourness, which is probably due to it being bottle conditioned and aged. Full-bodied, oily on the palate, medium carbonation and a long, astringent finish. Girlfriend says: "It tastes like dishwasher soap."

I didn’t really like this one. Had the black nitro yesterday which was a lot better. Rating will follow. The Red Nitro was a bit dull and boring. Mouthfeel was really good though.
