COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Reepicheep, the most noble of all noble mice. And proof that even if you may be small you can indeed still come with quite a sting. Reepicheep’s sting was his sword. In the beer we brewed in his honor the sting is the hops. Although the beer is a modest Wheat Ale (36% wheat in the malt bill) we - once again - went a little overboard with the hops with no less than 7 additions within just half an hour. And then our usual, massive dryhopping - of course. So for those who think that a wheat beer mostly resembles a banana split with a dash of cloves we’re only glad to prove you wrong.

Ingredienser: Vand. Malt: Pilsner, Hvede. Humle: Simcoe, Cascade, Amarillo, Summit, Chinook, Citra. Gær: US-ale

Månedens fadøl juli 2014.

Small offwhite head. Clear brown body with light carbonation. Earthy spicy aroma with floral notes. (Rated outdoors, so possibly unfair.) Dry-sweet spicy wooden fruity taste with rye and earth notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish perfumy spicy resiny caramel aftertaste with grainy rye notes. Minerals and butterscotch, too. Nice and highly drinkable. (0.25l draft at Søernes Ølbar, Copenhagen.)

Tap at fermentoren. Cloudy yellow smooth white head.quite hoppy aroma with a solid bitter base also some wheaty sweetness. Flavor is wheaty with lots of hops hop flavor is aromatic .Flowery and pine. Hops are well integrated with the wheat and malt flavors and the hop flavor is complex. Really good take on an insanely hopped wheat. Insanely flavorful for a 5 pct abv

Hazy orange color with big white head. Aroma is fruity, hoppy, orange, citrus. Taste is fruity, marmalade, grapefruit. A bit buttery. Bone-dry finish, yes. Smooth carbonation. The texture is soft and that’s probably the only Weizen-like aspect here.

(on tap @ Taphouse) I was a bit worried that this would be leftovers from July 2014 but if the aroma is anything to go by this seems freshly made. Pours a semi-clear golden with one finger off-white head that leaves ample of lace and shows decent retention. Aroma is Amager-style hop forward with floral and juicy notes. My untrained nose is unable to detect anything particular wheaty about the beer apart perhaps from a slightly citrusy hint in the juicy aroma. Might as well be cascade for what little I know. Oily texture, light to medium body, soft carbonation and an extended bone-dry bitterness in the finish. Flavour seems crisp, dry and bitter - perhaps a bit too bitter for the light body.

Nice hazy golden color with a small white layer that gives a fine lacing on the glass. Pine, citric, wheat and fruity aroma. Medium body. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Soft carbonation. Lovely tasty and fresh flavor with pine, citric, wheat and fruity. Lovely refreshing ale!
