3,5% alkohol.

ENGLISH: We wanted to prove that we could make a low alcohol beer rich in taste... and we named the outcome "Fusion". As the name indicates it is a true fusion beer due to the fact that our inspiration came from different styles and countries. The yeast is classic German pilsner yeast, which we - against its will, fermented at 71.6°F. This is a technique know from the American styles "California Common" a.k.a. "Steam Beer". Consequently, we were able to combine the crisp freshness from lager beers with a portion of the fruity freshness found in top fermented beers.
Our choice of malt is somewhat unusual as we selected an English Mild Ale malt adding a dark, roasted character to the beer, as well as a couple of handful of German caramel malt adding sweetness and a soft touch to the beer.
And it wouldn’t be a true beer from Amager Bryghus, if we hadn’t been generous with the hops. We chose classic American aroma hops such as Centennial, Chinook, and Amarillo - you know, the ones which really massages your taste buds. Additionally, these hops leave behind the most pleasurable, citric-like freshness.
Are you confused? No reason to be as our Fusion is the answer to the many people who over the years have asked for an American/English/German top and bottom fermented pilsner ale, which has lots of taste but is low on alcohol!
Fusion was 1st runner up at the Copenhagen Beer Festival 2007 in the competition of brewing a beer at maximum 3.5% alcohol.

Wspaniale letnie piwo o niskim procencie i wspanialym aromacie grejfruta i pomaranczy, to wszystko za sprawa silnie aromatycznych amerykanskich chmieli. W smaku podobnie wytrawno cytrusowo ozezwiajacy smak, a wyglad przepiekny zmetniony o kolorze ciemnej pomaranczy z ubita mocno trwala piana.

Tap at Ølbaren. This is a near perfect Beer. All the hops you can wish for and no consequences! Perfectly balanced body and bitterness, so who needs alcohol? Wonder if they changed the recipe a bit cause i can’t recall the amazing hoppyness from last years encounter.

Bottle at the RBESG08 Grand tasting. Alround rating: Wow this totally bloew me away, i thought it about 6% but when i saw it was 3.5% i couldnt believe it. Grassy citrus lemon and grapefruit character, its just an awsome hoppy pale ale.

one of the best ever I’ve tried in a while. hazy amber with medium head from 0,5l bottle. Most delicious hops and bitterness. Grapefruit pine. Near perfect peace of art this combination of styles.

20100814 tap at Max’s. Pretty dark golden color with creamy but sticky lasting white head. Aroma is citrusy and so fresh, white grape, arugula. Smacking sticky hops bitterness is awesome, but there’s a slight grainy astringency thats a minor turn off. Late dank notes. Kickass low abv beer.

I had this on tap in Copenhagen, a sure fire bartender recommendation. This pours a light honey gold, only a little light white head head, gone quickly, decent lacing...Aroma is light grassy hops, but that’s about it, light and fresh though...Taste is stronger than expected, lots of floral hops, very crisp drinker...Really good sticky feel. This is an awesome 3.5% beer that is super crisp, flavorful, and really drinkable. Awesome.

Has an almost bitter-like aroma to it, the appearance is slightly orange tinted gold. The flavor also has a little of a bitter-like flavor to it, although the pilsner aspects of this are noticeable. A very hard to define beer which is brewed like a California Common but tastes very very very different from Anchor’s offering, this is great none the less.

Bottle labeled Fusion not Summer Fusion. Pours hazy amber with a good sudsy frothy white head that settles to a soapy film and sticky lacing. Aroma has good lemongrass grains and malt and some yeast. Taste has subtle dry hops some lemon and malt. Palate is thin/medium with a crisp chalky finish. This is freaking solid! I hope I can find more of this one! And this was only $5.99!
