COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Maybe you feel it already, when the cap is removed and you put your nose to the bottle - this " Stout " smells different than what you are accustomed to. We have dry hopped this stout in the late stages of fermentation using the American noble varieties of Nugget , Centennial and Cascade, which allow the floral tones that make this a characteristic Stout - flavours of roasted malt give both lightness and freshness.
The glass appears Sundby Stout black , while the head is tight, light brown and almost cappuccino creamy, the tongue senses both malt sweetness, hints of bitter dark chocolate and English liquorice. Sweetness, however, cleverly balances the hard roasted malt and the split , umalted and roasted barley , which both help to give beer its roasted flavor. Sundby Stout is a classic " Stout ", which nonetheless dares to be different and challenge convention.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt , hops, and yeast

Bottle. Pours a muddy dark brown with a small creamy head. Aroma is sweet with roasted malts and a clear hoppy definition. Taste is round and sweet. A roasted malty bitterness blending well with quite a strong hoppy note. Some coffee in the aftertaste.

MPA (715) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - MAY 2, 2007
Bottle. Black with a huge brownish head. Chocolate aroma with roasted malt, some spices reminding me of saison (?), toffee and hops (a scent of spring). Flavour is packed with roasted malt along with chocolate, coffee and a strong bitter finish much like Jan Ulrich’s exit from pro cycling. The aroma seems a bit confusing to me compared to what I taste in my mouth and the carbonation is a little to high for me, but this is nonetheless a decent stout especially because of the hoppy, yet roasted, bitter finish.
