English: Maybe you feel it already, when the cap is removed and you put your nose to the bottle - this " Stout " smells different than what you are accustomed to. We have dry hopped this stout in the late stages of fermentation using the American noble varieties of Nugget , Centennial and Cascade, which allow the floral tones that make this a characteristic Stout - flavours of roasted malt give both lightness and freshness.
The glass appears Sundby Stout black , while the head is tight, light brown and almost cappuccino creamy, the tongue senses both malt sweetness, hints of bitter dark chocolate and English liquorice. Sweetness, however, cleverly balances the hard roasted malt and the split , umalted and roasted barley , which both help to give beer its roasted flavor. Sundby Stout is a classic " Stout ", which nonetheless dares to be different and challenge convention.

650ml bottle. As expected, pour is very dark. Not much carbonation so little to no head after pour, Aromas of licorice, roasted malt and cocoa. On the palate dark chocolate, and again, licorice. Fairly sweet but balanced nicely with the bitterness of chocolate and cocoa. All the flavors mesh well with a very drinkable 6.2abv. A very good stout. A definite one to try.

3 50cl bottles, shared with friends. Pours black with beige head. Good lacing. Caramel aroma with licorice and a slight smokey touch. Tastes is roasted malts, sweet chocolate and hops. Coffee notes at the end, curiously. Round on the palate. Medium/full mouthfeel, oily texture, perfect carbonation. A very nice easy drinkable stout.

This stout certainly fits quite well for the winter season. The foam is large, persistent and nice light brown. The color is black. It has a promising aroma of hard roasted malt, a little flower and a good delicate mocha flavor. The taste is full of good things: lots of sweet caramel, mocha, bitter chocolate and a subtle hint of licorice. The palate is very large and the overall impression is somewhat sweet stout, until a round and pleasant hoppy bitterness rounds off the experience.

Pours a deep black color, topped with a medium sized beige colored head. Strong aroma of roasted malts, a bit smokey and some chocolate notes perhaps too. Also just a hint of funky, smelly nutty presence (or something liek that). Taste is sweet, a bit of caramel and coffee with just a hint of chocolate. Mild bitterness, easly drinkable.

Bottle, 0.50l, shared with friends at 3. Festival Mikropivovarjev, Koper. Almost black color with thin creamy light brown head and nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, grass and some flowers. Taste starts with smooth and rich moderate sweet roasted malt and chocolate, follows by refreshing grassy sourness and licorice, warming mouthfeel and moderate bitter finish. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Velvety smooth and tasty...

(Amager Sundby Stout) Bottle 500 ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 6.2% Dark mahogany brown colour on the body, one finger of tan head, thick and creamy, with very good retention, leaving light lacing behind. Aroma has hints of nuts, plenty of roasted malts, some floral undertones, light chocolate. Nice taste, chocolate again but much more now, the floral notes reduced but still there, faint citrus, nutty traces, hints of coffee on the finish. Thick body, good carbonation, creamy and smooth on the palate. Very good, worth every cent just for that creamy texture.

Aromat dobrej gorzkiej czekolady, nugatu, wyraźne kawowe tło. Barwa prawie czarna z rubinowymi refleksami. Obfita, drobna, beżowa piana. W smaku mieszanka czarnej, lekko kwaskowej kawy i dobrej gorzkiej czekolady. Niezła kawowa goryczka.

500ml bottle from Appleyards, Shrewsbury. Pours pitch black with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts and coffee. Taste isn’t quite as rich as I imagined, just nice and smooth with a soft dark chocolate / roasted malt feel.
