COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Maybe you feel it already, when the cap is removed and you put your nose to the bottle - this " Stout " smells different than what you are accustomed to. We have dry hopped this stout in the late stages of fermentation using the American noble varieties of Nugget , Centennial and Cascade, which allow the floral tones that make this a characteristic Stout - flavours of roasted malt give both lightness and freshness.
The glass appears Sundby Stout black , while the head is tight, light brown and almost cappuccino creamy, the tongue senses both malt sweetness, hints of bitter dark chocolate and English liquorice. Sweetness, however, cleverly balances the hard roasted malt and the split , umalted and roasted barley , which both help to give beer its roasted flavor. Sundby Stout is a classic " Stout ", which nonetheless dares to be different and challenge convention.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt , hops, and yeast

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 9 Oct 2010) Dark brown colour, almost black, with creamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, dark bread and coffee with cream. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee and dark rye bread. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, with a balanced cocoa bitterness and just a touch of sweetness. Very well balanced and tasty stout.

Bottle at home. Black with ruby shades and light brown head. Aroma of caramel, coffee, pineapple, darker roasted malts, some milky chocolate, dried corn and lactose. Taste is first hoppy and bitter. Then Pine and other tropical fruits, coffee, lactose, milk chocolate, abricot, darker fruits and caramel notes. Medium, quite sticky mouthfeel and rich carbonated. Tasty hoppy stout, but not my favorite interpretation of the style.

A dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, nice musky chocolate with light milky notes and resinous hops. In mouth, a delicious powdery chocolate with musky resinous hops, coffee notes, still very solid.

Equilibrada. Notas a chocolate negro.

Bottle shared with Veitafan. Pours a black colour with a light greyish brown medium head. Aroma of leather, roasted malt, wort, rye and roasted almonds. Lots of roasted malt in the flavour as well along with nuts, wort and some coffee. Has a slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. The aroma is nice and the beer is balanced. Maybe a little bit straightforward, but the bitterness is great.
