COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Days Of Barley And Roses er netop sådan en dobbeltmæsket øl.

Bottle. Pours ruby deep golden with a creamy beige head. The aroma is loaded with malt with notes of ripe fruit, biscuits, crackers, port, berries and oak. The flavor has a light sourish vinous feel with a load of sweet malt and ripe fruit and berries. Very intense.

Bottle @ Vinoble Dalumvej, Odense. Pours cloudy dark amber with a creamy head and lacings. Sweet malty and yeasty nose and flavor with a whisper of dusty citrus hops and wood. Sticky, oily and dry. Def. Some warming alcohol. Dark dried fruit - prune, raisins and phat caramel. Not the most profound but enjoyable!

In short: a little dry barley wine.
(Tasted with some weird Jethro Tull song in the background....).
Pours hazy dark amber with some off white head. Moderate head retention, some lacing. Liquor, sherry aromas. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is liquor, sherry, malty, caramel. Alcohol noticed but well integrated. Some dry and wood notes. Quite smooth and enjoyable.

From bottle @ home. Pours dark reddish brown with a beige head, with nice lacings. Aroma is malts, sweet liqueur and some licorice along with some dark berries and dark chocolate. Taste is sweet liqueur, maple syrup and port wine. There is a slight but delicate alcohol burn. Full body and medium carb. Great beer for cheese and beer sausages. - with thirst, Niklas
