English: Cain is said to have murdered his brother out of envy. At Amager Bryghus we believe that murder is taking things a bit far. However, we admit to being envious because we weren’t the first brewer to come up with the beer style we admire the most: a crisp and hopped up West Coast IPA. We won’t kill anybody because we didn’t come up with the idea first, instead we present to you “Envy” - our take on this style. Humble – yet envious.
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

Brewed from: Pilsener and Munich malts. Hopped with Amarillo, Simcoe and Centennial and fermented with an American ale yeast.

Clear golden with a lasting white head and spotty lacing. Aroma of strawberries, citrus and paper. The taste is dominated by hops and an aftertaste of grapefruit that lasts and lasts.

Quite pale golden beer with a creamy long lasting smallish head. Aroma is huge hops, resinous , fruity, fresh. Taste is fruity fresh hops, orange, citrusy, some sweetness in the aftertaste. Medium body with the right amount of co2. Finishes with some real bitterness. Good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,50 bottle purchase at the Hoppy Imports in Thessaloniki-Greece and consumed in Kosovo. Best Before 09/2015. Pours golden-orange, just slightly hazy with a medium white foamy head. Nose: citrus skin, passion fruit, a background note of sweet grains, some residual yeast. It took a few minutes spotting these notes after pouring in the glass. Mouth: pleasant grainy malts, juicy body, chicory overall palate. Far better than its sisters Wookie and IPA from the same brewery, although with the same character.

Butelka 50cl. OCZY : jasny zółty kolor, mętne o białej, trwałej pianie. NOS : dominują aromaty żywicy, skórki cytrusów i alkoholu. Do tego tarta i marakuja. USTA : mało gazowane o tłustej konsystencji. W tle średnio słodkie o nutach białego cukru i tarty cytrynowej. Dominuje mocna, zalegająca gorzkość. W posmaku cierpkie i gorzkie o nutach skórki i pestek cytrusowych. ODCZUCIA : piwo jest bezkompromisowe i za to należą się punkty. Mocna dominująca gorzkość jest podkreślona żywicą i alkoholem co nie jest super przyjemne ale czemu nie. Mam dosyć poprawnych i kompromisowych polskich IPA. OCENA : smak : 6/10 pijalność : 6/10 styl : +1
