COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Cain is said to have murdered his brother out of envy. At Amager Bryghus we believe that murder is taking things a bit far. However, we admit to being envious because we weren’t the first brewer to come up with the beer style we admire the most: a crisp and hopped up West Coast IPA. We won’t kill anybody because we didn’t come up with the idea first, instead we present to you “Envy” - our take on this style. Humble – yet envious.
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

Brewed from: Pilsener and Munich malts. Hopped with Amarillo, Simcoe and Centennial and fermented with an American ale yeast.

Bottle from Beershop De Molen @home. Pours clear dark blonde with a medium white frothhead, good lacing. Very hoppy and citrusy to the nose. Aroma is strongly that of citrusy, bitter hops. Aftertaste is very dry and bitter. Light body, carbonation is medium. Overall a decent IPA, though a little unbalanced.

Pours golden with a thick white head. Aroma is very floral with some pine and mango attributes. Taste is rich and bitter with heavy pine and tangerine peel. Hoppy bitterness continues all the way to a long finish. Nice.

Disfrutada en El Lupulo Feroz, los 7 pecados capitales pinchados a la vez algo que muy pocas veces se puede ver.

(Bottle) Pale golden colour, slightly hazy, with lasting white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, pineapple, mango, grass, grapefruit, a touch of honey and fresh hops. Malty, fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus peel, grapefruit, pineapple, grass, honey and a fresh citric bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Tasty, solid and well made IPA, with a fresh hop character. Very nice.

Really good IPA beer, bitter and bit spicy and dry. Maybe has a sour point that I didn’t enjoy, but really grear overall.

Hazy golden color, big white head. Aroma has malt, tropical fruits, grass, citrus, hops. Taste has malt, citrus, grass and hops - dry sweet with hoppy bitter finish and long aftertaste. Thin to medium body and average carbonation. Decent bitter ale, not complex but quite drinkable.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2014 Bouteille. Moustache Blanche. Robe jaune trouble , mousse blanche peu persistante. Nez de caramel et de mangue. Bouche caramel , bien fruitée sur la mangue et le zeste de mandarine. Amertume bien présente et longue. Finale sèche et résineuse. Une ipa très agréable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Apex. Pour is clear yellow with a big white head and great lacing. Stale bready, hay, dirty hoppy, earthy, and caramelly aroma. Taste is sweet lemons, hay, bread, straw and grass with a light bitter finish. Light body with high carbonation. Not very good.
