English: At the Amager brewery we are comfortably situated far away from small-town modesty; we are not afraid of excess, and the term “moderation” is simply not found in our vocabulary. To us, gluttony is considered a virtue rather than a sin - at least when it comes to one thing: hops! While making this beer we targeted the hops which shone brightest in our hop room, as if they were almost begging to be used in copious quantities. And that is what we did, as befits a Double IPA of the highest caliber. We have squandered to a sinful degree - and we love it. And we bet that you will too!
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

500 ml bottle shared with the group. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a thin whitish ring. The aroma has nice dank, resiny, citrus and tropical fruit hops. The flavor has resin, citrus and some tropical notes, though not as forceful as the nose, caramel, spicy rye like notes, dry toasted malt with moderate bitterness as the finish.

On tap. Pours an amber gold with full head. Aromas of toffee, rubber, pine, and malts. Flavors are similar. Smooth creamy start with bitter pine finish.

500ml bottle, thanks to alexsdad06 for sharing. I got the end part of the bottle. Totally hazy golden orange color. Thin white kind of bubbly head. Leaves pretty good lace. Nice big piney and citrusy hop, lightly spicy. Some good bright tropical fruit here. Moderate to bigger bitter, light sweet. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Dry finish. Very tasty, assertive, piney, spicy, bright IPA. One of the best european DIPAs I’ve had yet. Very resiny long hoppy aftertaste. Impressive stuff.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2014 Oransje fremtoning med par centimeter skum.

Draft sample @ Birra Expo’14 Piacenza. Superbe.

The only sin was sending this IPA to America especially Vermont of all places.....fuck. Sample tried at the black back pub in Waterbury, Vt. Poured golden orange color. Bitter and overly sweet hops leading to an aggressive finish. Seems like they just crammed hops and malt into this thing without thinking it over. Ehh

Hazy amber. Some white head. Pine, resin and some alcohol nose. Thick mouth feel, low carbonation. A bit grainy. Quite bitter. Pine, grapefruit, citrus, resin, some malt flavour. A good IIPA.

Golden pour with a white head. Aromas of resinous hops, citrus, and some floral notes. Flavor is bracingly bitter hops upfront and it doesn’t let up. I could only handle one of these in an evening for sure.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (resin), with notes of onion, alcohol, garlic, dried pineapple. Flavor is heavily sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Full body, syrupy/creamy texture, lively carbonation, moderately to heavily alcoholic, lightly to moderately astringent. Blah...guessing there’s Simcoe in this...it’s got that icky onion/garlic odor and the rest is mainly resin. Syrupy/goopy sweet in the mouth with abrasive finishing dryness. This is a kitchen sink rendition, absolutely zero elegance or finesse, just a sledgehammer really. Totally not my kind of thing.

Bottle pour light gold. Nose pine, citrus, some mango fruit. Taste nice citrus bite up front. Some floral, then pine. Mild sweet late. Long bitter finish. Mostly brite and citrus flavors. Nose is really good, the taste while good, falls a little short of expected from the aroma.
