3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 after4ever (5292) - Brier, Washington, USA - FEB 1, 2013
500 at Olbutikken. Thanks, Papsoe! Pours a murky dark amber with a loose off white head. Very sweet fruity nose; not full-on cloying but without a doubt it’s intensely concentrated with oils and acidity. Very bright and penetrating. Creamy thick body with lively carb. Deep heavy caramel mid palate. This beer just sloshes around...nice and heavy. Intensely biting tropical fruit sweetness on the mid palate. Surprisingly approachable and drinkable for how ferociously hopped it is.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 gunnar (3593) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JAN 18, 2013
On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy golden with a huge frothy white head. Aroma of sweet malts, exotic hops. Taste is clean and crisp, fresh hops. Creamy and filling mouthfeel. Dry and fruity hoppy end.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Holmen1 (1075) - NORWAY - JAN 16, 2013
Go Amager, go!
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 visionthing (1655) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 14, 2012
50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Slightly hazy golden with a white head. Hoppy aroma with citrus, pine, caramel, grass and hints of spices. Sweet, fruity and caramelly with a solid citrussy bitterness in the finish. Well balanced DIPA. Full to medium body with average carbonation. Alcohol is quite well integrated. Lasting, bitter aftertaste with citrus and pine. Quite delicious brew!
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TURDFERGUSON (3572) - Carrboro, North Carolina, USA - DEC 11, 2012
Bottle from Papsø! Batch 437. Hazy orange pour with with a steady spitty white head and spotty lace. Nose is on the sweeter side upfront, lots of caramel, light butterscotch and vanilla, apple pie. Hops are definitely evident with note of pineapple, lemon, grass, and citrus. A tad grainy on some sniffs. Flavor is more centered, though still a bit sharp in its balance of malt and hops.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 flemmingwillum (811) - Nysted, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2012
Rating #778, bottle from Toft Vin. Unclear yellow beer with a small head. Aroma is something I can’t read because my notes got wet, then some citrus, oranges and delicious hops. Flavour of oranges, citrus, grapes, mashed bananas and a strong bitterness all the way through. Medium thickness and soft palate. Delicious, but not as good as it’s reputation.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Boutip (3979) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 20, 2012
Bottle: Poured a cloudy dirty beige color ale with a quite large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of medium citrus notes with some lightly sweet caramel malt notes. Taste is dominated by some citrus hoppy notes with a good dose of semi-sweet caramel malt with some earthy notes. Bitterness level is somewhat higher then the average with good carbonation and a full body. I was expecting an even bigger hops punch but well brewed nonetheless.
